    CHAT Need some solutions for a toddler stripping down to her birthday suit

    Ok DD(2) is stripping Down to her birthday suit serval times a day. Makes alot of work and laundry for mommy. She is not potty trained....we are working on that but she is being stubborn and not wanting to even try it out.

    So far I have tried nothing, but plan on safty pinning her pants to her shirt or onsies. Any other suggetions for this?

    It MIGHT pass if you try not to make a big deal of it (when she is looking anyway lol) Does she like getting dressed? This could be a new game to play. I would just keep putting those same clothes on her again if she's not like dunking them in the potty or anything, no need to get out fresh clothes if she's gonna go streaking anyway.

    When the daycare kids start stripping, I just catch them when they are starting and say we leave our shirts on - if they start to giggle, I say that's nice and we wear clothes here. Or, what a lovely belly, now cover it up. It's important that they dont get a reaction because then it's a game and they win. That's only my own experience though, I'm sure plenty of people will have great advice.

    duct tape her diaper on her (we do this each and every day).

    We then typically found clothing that was harder for DD to get out of ...like overalls where you switched the shoulder straps....

    if needs be you can put her in zipper pj's and use diaper safety pins to pin the zipper up. I would only use diaper safety pins though...otherwise the other kind can still pop open.

    She is to the point of taking the diaper off and then sitting on her clothes and peeing on them. When I sit her on the potty before she does this she doesn't want to go and wants nothing to do with it.

    Thanks for the suggestions. I will have to try it.....esp the duck tape.....I actually thought about doing that first.

    let it ride.

    my first one did it..now i am having to go thru it with the second one. we have slowed down a little as i told her i wasnt going to take off the one dress jammies that she can not get off over her head.

    we have stopped shaking our butt and saying "look at my buddie" so that is progress. if you can, find the one thing that she can not get off, and put it on her. onesies are great as mine cant get the snaps off, and there is one dress that she can not get over her head.

    I won't negative rep you!

    I think I will try duct taping and the diaper and saftey pinning her clother together so she can't get anything off until I take it off of her.

    Thing is with onsies she takes the diaper off under the onsie and throws it on the floor.....the onsie is still on because she can't unbutton the snaps. When that happens she usually pees all over the onsie and crib sheets.
