Just another thought to get more coupons out to military overseas. Is there any chance that some of the contacts you have might want to take on a little project. Nothing hard or time consuming. I just remember when I was overseas, the library on base had a box with bags of coupons in them for the taking (no idea where they came from). I used it often.

I had no idea that getting coupons sent from an individual was possible (didn't even know about couponing forums and stuff), so to have the ability to just pick those up from the library was great. Maybe there are many on base where your contacts are that do not know they could have coupons sent to them...and maybe by putting some in the library they will benefit that way, and maybe have a sign with an email or the forum you mod advertised so they can add themselves to your list.

Not sure if any of your contacts would be willing to do it, but it wouldn't take much effort and I bet they'd be helping a lot of people out.

Most of the gals on my contact list do share their bounty with friends and neighbors and then they help get them distributed at other places on base. Most take them to the family support center on base, but I know that some gals take them to the WIC center on base and others take them right to the commissary, where someone (i'm guessing an employee at the commissary) tapes coupons right to the products.

I have a website bookmarked that can be broken down base by base and says what services are available at each base. I know they have phone/fax numbers for each Family Support program, so I may be able to find contacts at the library, WIC office, etc that may be able to help distribute information on how to get coupons through me.

I did post on an military wives overseas page on Facebook - always have to be careful so that people don't consider me a spammer lol - and I've gotten a few hits from there already!

I did hear back from one of the wives stationed in Japan (she's not a HCW member) and she's being evacuated for who knows how long. I'm just glad that she's safe although I can't even imagine having to leave a country because of a potential nuclear emergency and leave my military husband there, not knowing what is going to happen!

The only family I know overseas, is in the same position. She's waiting for her and their girls to be evacuated, leaving the hubby behind.

Once they figure out what's going to happen I'll be sure to pass the info along to her. I feel so helpless for her. I know she's scared to leave him behind but wants to get her girls back to the states safe and sound too.

One of my FB friends in Japan contacted me and said she would like to be added to the list. I am just waiting on her to get back to me with her address and then I will pm it to you. Well, hopefully as long as she isn't evacuated too.

Well, I requested her address after she said she would like to get some, and she has gotten on FB a few times since then, but hasn't gotten back to me. So, I guess you can count her out. It's been a while so I'm assuming she isn't interested anymore.
