CHAT Anyone consider not trying to coupon for Toilet Paper any longer?

And instead purchasing the industrial stuff at places like Costco or Sam's Club???

(big case full of individually wrapped one ply TP)

I live in a rural area...and the best deal I can get on TP is $1.00 per 4 pack. Either being White Cloud or occasionally the cheap version of Charmin...but I prefer the White Cloud.

I'm not a TP snob though..and really don't care about softness per say (albeit sand paper quality is not what I'm looking for )...and I avoid the cheapy junky brands where the roll lasts less then 1/2 a day KWIM.

Last week we had a random roll that was given to us probably over a year ago But it was one of those industrial type rolls..and it lasted 4 days on the roll!

    So questions?

Does anyone else here use Sam's or Costco to get that kind of TP and use it instead?

And if so...how many are in a typical package and how much does it cost.

FYI my sister will be in town in a couple of weeks and has a card...so I would go then. I won't have to get the card to get the TP.

    TIA!

DH brand loyal to Cottonelle-I'm not as picky-but that is all I buy. Sadly, Sam's doesn't carry Cottonelle-so I get all of mine from Dillons when it drops to a good price.

That being sad-we have switched over to several of the Sam's Brand products and love them. I would give if a whirl if you are not brand loyal.

I, like you, live out in rural KS where the shopping options are limited. We make it to Sam's about every 2 or 3 months to stock on items that I can't get at a good price out in the middle of no where. I know a lot people on this site don't feel that they save at Sam's, but for people like myself, I do save quite a bit shopping there-since I am limited on stores where I live.

I haven't done that, but I know that on Sam's Club online you can look up a lot of what they have in the store and get some ideas on prices....there may be other stuff in the store, but it might give you an idea.

We are using the Rite Aid brand that is like Scott's 1000 sheet stuff right now and those rolls last forever, and I don't really care what the TP is like as long as it works and doesn't feel like sand paper.

HI Re: Anyone consider not trying to coupon for Toilet Paper any longer?

If I don't have coupons for Angel Soft, I still prefer to buy at a discounted or full price--ugh!--the Angel Soft toliet paper. It is our favorite and having a septic tank (we have a 100 acre farm) and wells--Angel Soft works best for needs.

I don't like the scent of Charmin and other brands. We love Angel Soft. I have 6 "angels" under 6--so I like to keep my "angels" soft.

I use to only buy the Costco Kirkland brand TP until not long ago. If I can find a good price on TP someplace else then I will buy it otherwise I buy it from Costco. I do really like each roll wrapped in paper because we store ours in the garage. Those rolls will last us a few day and we have 4 of us in the house. I cannot think of the price off the top of my head but I have always thought it was a pretty good price compaired to buying TP other places.

Just wanted to add that when we built our farm house several years ago and researched septic tanks, our plumbers recommended only using Angel Soft since it broke down better in toliets. Charmin toliet paper is one of the worst toliet papers to use if you have septic tanks.

We started out with 25 acres for our farm and home in the beginning and several years ago we bought another 75 acres to add to our farm land. Our business for our grassfed meats (beef, pork, and poultry is growing like crazy). We have added septic tanks and other tanks for usage on our farm. We have a large home and have 6 bathrooms plus 2 sets of washer/dryers that are front loaders, and 2 large Bosch dishwashers. With 6 kids and 2 adults we use alot of water too and toliet paper!

Back to the toliet paper issue, reports have suggested also that Scott tissue is good for septic tanks. We have 2 septic tanks associated with our main farm house. Angel Soft is great and when you stock up with cheap prices and Q(s) you get a deal.

I just came back from the Front Royal, VA Walmart Supercenter earlier today where I used 40 Gain $3/off coupons to buy 20 dryer sheets and 20 liquid fabric softeners. Also I bought 40 Angel Soft toliet tissue packages which I had $2/off Q(s) to apply to my purchases. By the way, with Walmart's new coupon policy, I had great overage. I will post details later.

    Have fun--

    I'm with you, OP.

I have very sensitive skin, so I have to use Charmin or else (trust me you don't wanna know!!). The piddly .25 off coupons P&G distributes aren't worth it.

I buy the huge Costco package of Charmin every 4 months or so. That's it (there's just two of us). Because it's thicker/more plush, we use less of it. I usually buy it when there are coupons in the Coscto Circular, so we get 20 double rolls (so, it's really like 40 regular rolls) for $9.00. I can't find TP anywhere around here for that price on sale.
