Default Asked to speak at a Women's Luncheon on finances-wanna help ?

I have been asked to speak at a Women's luncheon along with 6 other speakers. My topic- COUPONING , of course. I have a fairly good idea of what I want to say. However, I would love some tips and advice , just in case I have forgotten something or haven't thought of it. TIA

In my defense, I will only bid human beings in the auction forum if it's a MM.

Just because you have a coupon, doesn't mean you have to use it.

The sales will come back around, so don't get too discouraged if you miss one, or try to do every deal you see.

Know what your family uses and don't buy something just because it is cheap/free if you know you won't use it or donate it.

I will keep thinking...but these were off the top of my head.

Depending on how much time you're given, I suggest you cover the basics like where to get the coupons, explain difference between purchase and transaction (which is the most common point of argument between cashier and shopper using coupons), taking advantage of coupon doubles/triples in your area if there are any. Considering the time alloted to you, it may be difficult to digest a ton of stuff in a few minutes so it is best to cover the basics just to stir enough interest. You can write an outline and then edit it for clarity and add imporant info which you think is worth discussing. You can leave your email addy or contact number if there are questions you'd be glad to answer from those who are interested. If you can do a powerpoint presentation, it becomes a lot easier while at the same time, you get to cover more topics in a short period of time.

As a caveat, weigh carefully what info you are willing to share. Those who live in small towns with very few stores have learned later that they can no longer find stocks on the store shelves because there is a saturation of couponers in their small town. Think and weigh if you want to share info on where to go dumpster diving for free inserts, using the library for add'l IPs or other couponer's secrets. If you don't mind the stiff competition from other couponers, then feel free to share all "secrets" with them.

    Good luck!
