My wedding was Years ago, but I made my own flower girl baskets. Hot glue can be your friend. I also printed my SIL's shower invites at home. Keep an eye out for DIY invites on sale. Happens often.
Mods, if this isn't the right place to post this, please feel free to move it.
Who else is planning a wedding this year? Mine is set for July 23, and I'm on an extremely tight budget. We're having the ceremony in a public park, and while we're still trying to find a reception site it's going to be along the same lines. I'm going to be doing a lot myself; decorations, invitations, and possibly food. Anyone care to share their DIY wedding tips or pictures? I'll post more ideas as I get further into planning.

Hey there!
My wedding was three years ago, but I did EVERYTHING myself! We made our own cupcakes and cupcake stands, our own invitations, did our own music, food.. the whole nine yards.. and it only cost me 900 dollars :D
I wish it would have cost less, but there it is. I would recommend starting early and getting as much done as you can.. and don't be afraid to incorporate the use of friends!
Good luck and congratulations!
