Aaargh! Schools closed for the 3rd day due to snow!

I know what you mean, we are in NE Georgia and our kids missed the whole week before Christmas break and it's looking like they are going to miss this whole week as well.

I'm ready to hit the stores and get out of the house. DS will be out of school all week at this rate LOL.

yepp i got the phone call that schools are closed tomorow too! How am i supposed to get any shopping done! Im gonna see how thursday goes. I have to possibly go out for a wic appointment anyhow if they are still open. Il lhave to see what the roads look like.

Well all our govt. offices are closed too so you better check before you go. I think I will just have to get out tomorrow, ice or not. At least we haven't lost power!

Our school system is out of built in snow days, and they are now talking makeup days. :( My poor preschooler goes to a private preschool, but they run on the same schedule as the city system. I wonder if he will have makeup days or anything because we've not been told anything regarding make up days at this point. He missed his Christmas party, twice, because of cancellations. Yesterday was supposed to be his birthday cookie party with his class at snack time, and school was canceled again. I don't see them going Thursday because I don't think the sun is going to come out enough to get rid of the ice. We also had to postpone his family birthday party because of the weather, and it looks like it might get bumped again. We had a few people show up for cake on his actual birthday, but most couldn't make it here.

I've got to work and get some shopping done. Come on, Sunshine!!

My DD was out yesterday, but they're going back today. I actually love having her around, but I just hate it when they miss because they don't have ANY built in snow days anymore, so everything they miss has to be added on at the end of the year. The kids are SO ready to get out at the end of the year, so it's terrible when they have to add days on.

My kids hardly ever get snow days. I was actually hoping they would have one today, but they didn't I even woke up early to check the news. I am just as bad as the kids

I dont know if my sons school has make up days already built in, His is a year around school. The roads are clear today so maybe just maybe they will have school tomorow! Guess ill find out this evening.
