We need living area furniture, but have decided to wait until the kids are grown and responsible. I guess in the next few years. Then I am getting a "throne"! An oversized recliner or chair with a hassack that can handle me and my kids when we read.

My sofas are both broken- one has a broken leg and the other has a broken arm. Both have holes in the fabric that covers the springs (under the cushions) They aren't hideous though, and I really like them.
My washer needs to be replaced- only one cycle works, and it walks across the room making a banging racket like in the movies. It was 10+ years old when I bought it 6 years ago.
My coffee table is good it just needs to be refinished because it's been abused by kids.
DS#2 needs a mattress, we got a bunkbed and new mattress for DS#1, but DS#2 is using the 'pad' that came with it.

All the rest of my furniture is garage-sale, hand-me-down or found on the curb, mismatched, used and abused, and seriously out of style. I can't imagine spending the amount of money some people do just to have new or matching furniture, especially if I had to make payments.

My furniture is mostly mismatched, but it's comfortable and in good shape. What I need to be doing is getting rid of some furniture, but I don't want to replace it. I just want the additional space from getting rid of it. It feels like my house is getting smaller all the time.

If a television counts as furniture, I'm probably going to need to replace it before too long. Everyone on that tv looks like a fuzzy Oompa Loompa.

Oooohh, but then I would really like to replace our bed except I can't justify the expense. We have a king sized bed that's still in good shape. I would just like to downsize to a full size. We just don't need that much bed, but it's pretty unlikely that I'll get rid of a perfectly good piece of furniture just for a preference, though. Tough noogies to me, I guess.

I would like a new bed, ours was passed down from my inlaws and while it works (I mean I can sleep on it) It's starting to show its age.

We are saving now for one, the goal is to get a new bed in January/February when they usually go on sale. DH really wants a memory foam bed, but they seem sort of hard to me...so I dunno.

Even though our couch and loveseat are only 2 years old they look 10 because our wonderful puppy chewed them up. The top of the couch and loveseat and pulled the stuffing out. The bottom chewed the fabric until the wood showed and chewed a couple of cushions and pulled the stuffing out. So.... they look like total crap now. :(
Needless to say I was not a happy camper and yes I still have the dog :)
