My Mom Lost Her Coupon Binder :(

I would be so devastated too if I lost my coupon binder. Just a suggestion for the new binder, have her write her name, and phone number on the inside cover in permanent marker. That way if it is ever lost again and a honest person finds it....

Please let me know if there are any specific Qs she is looking for, and pm me her addy. Tell her no one is ever too old to save money. Anyone of us could have made the same mistake and a lot here on this board have. It has nothing to do with being smart.

Thanks for the suggestion Mama Stu...I'll make sure she does just that. And I tried to tell her that leaving her coupon binder was no reflection of how 'smart' she is. We are all just human afterall.

Would love to help out your mama restock her binder! Send me a PM with her address and wishes. Be sure to tell her not only have I left my binder, but I've been know to bring it with me and then forget to use my coupons at checkout. We all have these moments :)

I know CouponSAHM, I've forgotten a lot worse. I'm going to tell my Mom that she is in trouble with you all for being so hard on herself.

HOnestly, I felt the same way after I lost my coupon bag with all my coupons, ecb, and a WAGS gift card. It is natural to beat yourslef over stuff like that. I thought about quitting too - but I came around. My advice: tell her how many of us "experienced" couponers have doen the exact same thing. It sucks, but it is just paper (money)....

I really hope this doesn't stop your mom from serious couponing. I wish my mom would take more of a interest in this and stockpile like I do. She doesn't get "it". I just stockpiled a ton of stuff this week since my grocery budget wasn't spent for the month and some deals rolled around. She just came to the house today with a list of want she needed. She left with over 5 bags worth of stuff. I don't mind helping her but when I tell her about the sales she says "I don't need anything now". But she always needs stuff when she comes over. Plus she laughs at my stockpile and says I'm crazy for having sooo much stuff.
