Hubby does the same thing with our son. And I have noticed our son does the same thing also. I think it is a "man" gene!!
I don't normally complain about Hubs, but GAAAAAH!!!
Right now I feel like bopping him upside the head! This is what he does, one of the girls will be around, maybe talking to us, using the computer, or whatever! Then he'll come ask me "why does daughter #1 blah blah blah?" My response is usually "I don't know. Why don't you ask her?"
He just came in from being outside with daughter #3 for several minutes and asked ME a question about what she's doing out there! Geez, man you were just out there! Ask her what you want to know!!!
I don't understand why it's so hard for the man to ask this question himself.

Well, finally, at least I know now that there are at least 2 other males that do the same! It drives me up a tree.

Umm....yeah, we have that problem over here too - you can add 3 more to your list, although I am not sure it will make you feel better!
I also sorry to tell you that it starts young, my 4 yo asks those questions all the time, and while this may be developmentally appropriate at this age - somehow I do not think he is going to outgrow it.
all the males in my house do it too! I have come to the conclusion that it's because "us mom's" are all-knowing, all-seeing, wise creatures. So instead of risking getting a wrong answer they go directly to the sourse of knowledge!
Yep...I know it's all a bunch of BS but that's the only thing keeping from "bopping" my own folks is to live in my fantasy world![]()
