Im running on empty

Hubby on Tuesday night hurt himself playing softball. They called me and told me he needed to go to the ER. Which if you know my dh, he doesnt go to the ER, so I knew it was something bad. :sad: The ER doctor wouldnt touch him until his back surgeon came down to look at him and make sure it wasnt anything with his back. ( He has had 3 back surgeries, last one being a spinal fusion with titanium plates, rods and screw) So the doctor finally walks into the room about 11am yesterday morning to tell us what is going on. Also attached to him is an orthopoedic surgeon. They both go on and describe wht hubby has done to his body. I get him home yesterday afternoon and it has been non stop since. He cant walk on his own so all last night I was up with him taking him to the bathroom, taking care of my son who has come down with a bug and still trying to keep my work happy. Its the end of the month and its never good for me to take time off at the end of a month. :hectic1:

So all I am wishing for is just a few hours of un interupted sleep and time to relax.

That doesn't sound like a good day at all! So what is up with his back? I hope he doesn't need surgery again!

Poor you. I will bring some goat cheese - we can have it with some crackers and pomegranate jalapeno jelly - really tasty!

I am sorry to hear about your DH - I am home with sick kids today and trying to work from home - no fun!

Its no fun. He is resting, just called home. The neighbor is reading a book playing with the cats.
Im here at work trying to get things accomplished. I work from home tommorrow for my other job so I will be around to help him.

His back seems to be fine except for the new disks that are buldging, but they dont seem to be too worried about that. They want him to rest his hip and leg for now.

The docs said after those 2 are healed theywill start therapy for his back to see if they can get those disks back into place.

Thanks for the chuckles. I need them.
