I am so sick of this, please pray for me

I am so sick of having sinus congestion problems. Please pray for me, it has been a little over a week this time. It hurts and I have high bp so I can't take alot of meds. Sometimes it hurts so bad I cry. I do have a netti pot and I am using it and it helps until the pressure builds up again. I just want total healing of this. Thank you.

Something that works for me is steam. Here's what I do. I get a big towel (beach towels are best). Then I turn on the faucet in the bathroom sink, and run hot water until the steam rises from it. Leave the water running. Then, I take the big towel and put it over my head and shoulders, and lean over the sink, making the towel form a tent that covers the sink and my head and shoulders. Then....BREATHE DEEPLY!! You'll probably start coughing, but that's good! That means your sinuses are draining. This also works for chest congestion. And...besides the money you spend on the hot water...it's free!

Awww I'm sorry... try putting a little Vicks under your nose.. and some on your cheeks where your sinuses are.. that helps me alot.. {{Huggs}}

I hope you better soon sweetie. I had the worst sinus infection ever a couple of weeks ago and it was really bad. Drink lots of liquids and get all the sleep you can.

Thank you everyone for your support. I found out yesterday if I drink the honey made in my town every day it is supposed to make your body immune to the pollen. I went and got some and it wasn't expensive so I so happy about that. I also bought some crushed red pepper and ate hot chili with a bunch of red pepper added to it. It helped alot. I am from Louisiana originally and never even heard of sinus problems then. I am in TN and they don't make "hot" food so I guess I have to make it myself. I love hot food and my sinuses was thankful too. I read about honey on the internet last night and it says it is good for lots of ailments and weight loss too. I am definitely going to try that! LOL

Have you tried the neti pot of cleansing your sinuses? DH has terrible allergies and frequently suffers from sinus infections. I have tried different things/meds for him. If you have the neti pot, just make sure to use it consistently.

I bought a neti pot for him from WAG and it has helped me tremendously. He just need to be reminded everyday or else he suffers. Pollen index this year was at its highest that I've heard, it helped us a lot to do sinus cleansing everyday with or without symptoms. IT has relieved us from a lot of misery. If you got some of the FARR Saline spray weeks back from WAG, they also work great to cleanse your sinuses. It just takes a few minutes a day and make it part of your daily habit. Hopefully, you will get some relief.
