It's scary how the medical community ignores things (especially with women).
I wish your mom a speedy recovery.
*hugs* and glad she is stabilized.

That makes no sense. If the patient has known blockage, why on earth would a dr put a patient on a tread mill threatening a heart attack or stroke? Isn't the tread mill test to determine if there is disease?
Based on my own experiences, patients have to be their own medical advocates. You ask very valid questions without a good answer. I would get a second opinion ASAP.
Hopefully, you or the dr place her on baby aspirin until this secondary artery issue is resolved.
She's very lucky to have you!
Prayers being sent your way.
Yes normally a stress test is done BEFORE the heart cath. I wasnt able to talk to the physician who did the heart cath but he told my family that he wanted to do the stress test to see if there was good blood flow through that artery. Now I thought, the heart cath was the best diagnostic tool for all things artery related in the heart. ?? I mean he can actually see the arteries when he is doing the cath and you cant when you do the stress test. No clue what he is doing. It sounds to me like ....money, money, money. But I could be totally wrong.
We are going to her primary MD today so we will ask him some questions.
