Does your spouse dip/chew? If so, I have a $$ ?

Before I gripe at my DH for excessive spending, I was wanting to see what everyone else spends on tobacco.

I was going through some receipts he left on the counter, & from 2/16-26, he spent $57 (that I know of) on dip. If he spends that in 10 days, a month's worth would be $171 + tax. I know that's probably low considering what some spend on cigarettes, but we're in Kentucky & tobacco products are cheaper here.

Wow - that is a lot of money. My cousin's significant other chews tobacco and she always jokes that she spends $5 a day on coffee (Starbucks) and he spends his $5 on dip. So, $57 for 10 days may actually not be all that off. That is a crazy amount of money per month!

A can of dip here is $4. I would say DH buys a can 3 times a week, sometimes 4 times a week. So a month runs between $48 and $64 for us....he cut back a lot when he quit smoking and started dipping, and it saved our pocket a lot of $$.
