Anyone ever prebought bears at Build A Bear then brought them back later to stuff?

How does this work? I saw on another message board where someone did this for a budget Build A Bear party. They used coupons to prepurchase the bears, then brought them in the day of the party and let the kids stuff them. When you pay for an unstuffed bear does it show up as unstuffed on the receipt? Then you just bring bear and receipt back and they let you stuff it? If this worked, I could use the $5 off a $10 bear coupon to prebuy them in Feb. Then at the party in April, let them stuff and choose a $5 shirt and it would cost me the same amount as booking a basic "naked bear" party.

My DD has gotten an unstuffed bear for her b-day before they just put a sticker on the tag so they know you paid for it. HTH
