How I removed my age spots...FREE!

I apologize if this is in the wrong place, feel free to move if necessary. As I looked in the mirror this morning I thought...I NEED TO SHARE this with my coupon friends!

I'm 36 and for 3-5 years I had a few age spots that really ticked me off. I have no freckles, so they stuck out like a sore thumb. 1 on my face the size of a nickel/dime, and 2 dime size on my left thigh. They always bugged me and I don't wear foundation, so it really stuck out on my face and concealer still looked like I was hiding something. So one day I spent $40 on a lightening cream from Lancome, applied twice a day for 4 months NO SUCCESS.

The success part: I had made an appt at a dermatologist to look at a mole about 1 year ago after she checked it and said it was fine I asked. How much would surgery be, or what do I do, to get rid of these age spots. RIght then and there, she showed me her hands and said..I freeze them off, it costs nothing! She had some SLIGHTLY LIGHTER spots on her arms and hands....nothing noticeable like an old brown age spot and she said. How many do you got???? I asked how much and she said, let's do 3-4 right now, no charge and if you want to get more done later, just make an appt, and we'll do the rest under the office visit.

So, she whipped out her little can of "freeze" (pardon my lack of wording) sprayed each spot for 5 secs *yes it hurt* and I left. I was already there, and just got rid of my problem for free! They swelled up and scabbed over for a week to week and a half (it was gross) and when the scabs came off, the areas were pink. After 3 months, the pink was almost un noticeable and I am so happy, the areas do have a SLIGHTLY pink shade to them, but nothing compared to what an age spot looks like.

SOOOOO if any of you ever visit the dermatologist, and want to get some age spots removed for FREE...ask yours if they do any freezing of age spots and if they'll do a couple for you. OR if you have a 10-25 co pay for an office visit and they will do that for you.....it's cheaper than buying a bottle of cream that doesn't work, and it gets the job done! Just thought I would share!!!!!! Has anyone else had this done?

No, but I use a product by Avon that comes in a long slender tube that is a miracle. My mom spent $80 on a tube to get rid of hers - my tube cost 19.99 and I bought it on a B1G1 sale. AFter 3 months, I still have plenty left in the first tube and the age spots are gone. I gave the second tube to my SIL for her age spots and she called me within a month to thank me profusely over the phone. I will look at the product later and post it.

They did this for the spots my mom had because they told her they were pre-cancerous. So don't think that it's only for beauty! Take care of your skin!

At 19.99 a tube, I would go broke with all my age spots .

Seriously tho, I would love to know what that stuff is from Avon.

I don't think you will go broke! It is inexpensive and you only need a little dab per spot.

I had a really bad spot on my cheek, like the size of a dime, and it is gone. It took at least 2 weeks for me to see a difference and about 6 weeks for them to fade. I have a few left but they are noticeably fainter and now do not show when I where my MAC face powder (if I wear CG it does - not as good of coverage).
