I must really hate peeling things! How to "peel" potatoes without peeling them!

I think it was around Easter time, either this year or last when I posted a video on how to peel a hard boiled egg all in one shot with no shells sticking to the dumb egg etc.........
Well now I found a video on how to "peel" a potato without peeling it.......just in time for Thanksgiving!

I just leave the peel on- mommy will dish out some tough love to anyone who don't eat their peels, and you need fiber!! LOL

Is peeling an egg the same way, with ice water and scoring?

Oh. My. Gosh. That is sooo cool. I just wish I had known about it when I lived in Maine and could go out past my backyard and pick the leftover potatoes after harvest! And had potatoes 3 or 4 times a week. I'll probably be making "real" mashed potatoes more often know! Thanks for posting!

With mashed potatoes being one of my all time favorite foods, when I was younger, if I wanted mashed potatoes, my mom would make me peel them all..............when i moved out, i didnt have a potato peeler, and using a paring knife wasted half the potato........i decided i wasnt peeling potatoes any more. I havent peeled a potato in 10 years for ANYTHING....potato soup, mashed potatoes, french fries, hash browns, i leave the peels on (and now my kids think that its weird to have no peels in their mashed potatoes)
