Been asked to be a personal shopper. need advice.

Hi everyone, I'm hoping someone can guide me. DH has a friend who would like to 1. buy from my stockpile and 2. me do his shopping, me keeping half of whatever I save him. I would LOVE the extra money. Anyone have any suggestions on how to work out the details? How to get the ball rolling? TIA

I have thought about doing this for folks who don't have the time to do the deal chasing themselves.

Is this person ok with the idea of stockpiling? Are you going to be able to do his shopping at the same time as yours? Can you do the deals he needs at the grocery store, or will he need a CVS card?

DH says he has an extra fridge, not sure about cabinet space yet. We have'nt gotten that far. I will likely give him a cvs card to activate just incase. As of right now, I think i'll be able to do his shopping when i do my own but of course i'm sure they'll be times when i can't. he wants to buy from my stockpile as well. Is asking half of what he would pay in store too much?

Remember, you are doing his shopping for him. Make sure you build in a floor in case the deals aren't around for what he wants. Just getting his shopping done is worth something.

Boston is right. Are you doing all the shopping for him or is he doing his regular stuff and you the stockpiling?

we have'nt worked out all the details yet but it's my understanding that he will buy from my stockpile and I will get deals for him as i get them for my own household. keeping 50% of what that saves him.

Could be wrong, we're going to work out details soon. This is why I posted, you guys are so much help! reps!

Ok. You need to iron out that you will get so much $ per trip PLUS a % of the savings. That way if you make a special trip for something that he wants (and remember, you may have to order extra coupons for him) you are covered.

If he shops from your stockpile, what will you charge him?

unless he pays me outright to do all his shopping for him, i will not be making special trips. i'll get his stuff when i get my own. that would be time and gas that i just dont have....unless he made it worth it.doubt that would happen though lol. multiple transactions so be it. i don't have much trouble w/that at my stores thankfully. He mentioned me getting 50% of what i save him.

as far as selling my stockpile, hmm...not sure.:shrug7:
