Pen Pals for my Daughters

Wasn't sure where to post this, but both of my daughters are getting to the age where they want to get their own mail. They see me getting all of my coupons all the time, and they want some mail too. I thought pen pals would be a good idea for them. But I don't know where to look, so I thought I would post here, and see if there is anyone else with 3rd and 6th grade girls (or somewhere close) that are also looking for a pen pal, or have any suggestions?? Thanks!!!

I have girls in 2nd & 6th grades. I think that they would like to do this. It would also help them when it comes to reading & writing practice. I will talk to them this evening and let you know for sure, but this is a great idea. I know that we are in Michigan but they could make new friends.

you could also introduce them to do online blogging. it would be there online diary so they could post all there thoughts and feelings on it.

I remember having a pen pal in the 6th or 7th grade. Mine was 2 ladies in their 60's and 1 girl around 18. It was a great experience! Of course, this was before the internet existed. I'm sure they'll have fun doing it. :)
