Funstuff Kids Say the Cutest Things!

I love it when kids mispronounce words! What funny things do your kids say? What did you say when you were little?

I remembered being shocked when I learned that it was pork chops we ate and not "port chops"...I found out the truth while reading a Mickey Mouse comic book.

When my brother was about 2-3 he asked for more "baby palm trees" when he wanted more broccoli!

My cousin called strawberries "star bellies"

I was watching my 2 little cousins and one kept asking for "Shoo shoo mook" over and over. I was baffled. I kept saying it to him then I realized he was asking for chocolate milk!

My cousins also called waffles "foo foos", macaroni and cheese was "chee chee cheese", pizza was just "sa", and my cousin told my mom to make him a "lonely sandwich" instead of a bologna sandwich!

I had my cousin outside one day when he was 2-3 and I found a grasshopper so I kept saying "Graaaaashopper" to him. He pointed at it and said "Big Soppa".

Took my brother to the grocery store when he was a toddler and showed him the lobsters. Whenever we went to the store after that he wanted to go see the "monsters".

Anybody else have any gems?

Oh the lobsters made me LOL! When my youngest was 3 she got to pet a Hamster in the pet store. Later that week we went to the store and she was asking what the lobsters in the tank were. When I told her lobster, she said "Oh, Hamster!!" and wanted to pet them very badly! For about a year she talked about wanting to pet the wet Hamsters at Albertsons.

I have a mole on my forehead which 17 years ago my then 3yo called an apple buppy. Guess what we still call it?

My mother used to call fishing poles swishing combs.

I just love kids!

LOL Kids are funny.
2 of my favorite funny memories of myself are....
1) Telling my mom I wanted some Gorilla bars...bless her heart she searched high and low for them.....LOL finally she did find them for me...Granola Bars 2) When I was in 3rd grade we moved to a new school district and I didn't have the notebook that my teacher wanted me to have, so she sent me to the school store to get one...I wanted to impress the 6th graders with my "huge" vocabulary, so I told them, "I would like 1 compassion book please." (composition)...I was soooo embarrassed.

My younger sister used to call bubble gum, buggle bum and one of my sons called tissues tennishoes.

I just remembered when my brother was about 2 he had a toy snake. He was dragging it across the floor and making a snake sound. But he wasn't saying "Hiss" instead he kept going "Piss a Piiiiiisssssss". I was laughing and asked him what sound does the snake make and said "A piiiiissssed"

Not a mispronunciation but a funny one in our house...

My son missed completing a pass in soccer to a teammate and the other team got in front of it, gave a a solid kick and it went right to the goal.

The other kids on his team (1st graders) started giving him a hard time.

He turned to them and growled, "It's JUST A GAME!!!! We're all going to get TROPHIES!!!"

Well, I was laughing so hard the tears were coming to my eyes and the other parents were dying!

Ok, here's another one from this morning.

Our dog is really old and sick right now. My 8 year old asked me this morning if the dog had a mom. I said everything comes from a mom. Then I said, "where do you think he came from?" and he said "China".

Oh gosh I have a good one that has been happening at my house the last few days. My ds is 9 and he's been playing with a big plastic sword thing that was part of his halloween costume.

The first couple of times I heard this I thought I was hearing wrong until I asked him to repeat to me slowly what he was saying.

He's been holding his sword up and then bringing it down in slow motion like he's ''slashing'' someone or something.

Instead of making/saying a swoosh sound when he brings the sword down, he's been saying doucheeeeeeeeee in a slow motion kind of voice!!!

The first few times I thought surely I was hearing wrong. Needless to say, I had to ask him to pick a different word/sound without going into detail!!

That's funny...just pretend it was French..."douche" is the French word for "a shower".

Too Cute!!

I have a couple to share. My ds used to call popsicles "bee bops". I thought it was so cute! I remember his first haircut wouldn't have happened without an endless supply of "bee bops" to keep him still!

One day while watching the kids play with their new plastic baseball and bat, I overheard my oldest telling the younger one... "I'm gonna be the batter, you can be the "vampire"!

When we were kids, my younger brother had trouble pronoucing "t" sounds. Instead, it always came out with the sound of an "f". One day in Walmart, going down the toy aisle, I remember him asking over and over again for a truck. It didn't come out that way though and my mom was trying desparately to get us out of the store all the while with my brother screaming..."I want a ****, I want a ****!! That story still embarrasses my mom to this day, lol.
