BRUSSEL SPROUTS! Just had some with my dinner :)
I Love so many things now that I would have never even tried before marrying my husband.
Broccoli--LOVE it but don't recall my mom ever having it so I guess I just assumed I wouldn't like it. But I do only like fresh the frozen is nasty.
Spinach - Love it in pasta dishes
Bell Peppers well ALL kinds of peppers. We eat them in everything.
Onions - I use to not eat them, then only if they were minced now Ill eat them pretty much in any thing and any shape or form.
Tomatoes - Okay I still hate raw ones but I like cooked and roasted ones in dishes.
I have tried lots of different veggies since getting married. And I'm hoping us always having veggies of all sorts will rub off on DS. My mom only had starchy veggies or gross raw ones I didn't like. So, eating veggies is still something I have to put thought and effort in to.
And not so healthy ones
Meatloaf- I still don't like my moms but mmm I can make good meatloaf that's what started this thread actually is I just had meatloaf for dinner and thought I would have never ate a bite not at least a serving before.
Toasted Coconut - Still dont like it plain but love it toasted
I'm sure there are a lot more I'm not thinking of. But what are yours?
What did you dislike as a kid or young adult but now are a staple in your diet?

"You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one. I hope someday you'll join us. And the world will live as one."John Lennon
Onions - I still hate all the rest :) but I love onions now, especially carmalized or in French Onion Soup
Oooh and Rice - I used to HATE rice but now really like it
I come from a family that eats lots of different kinds of foods. I don't think there was much of anything I didn't like or eat as a kid.
The one food I truly did not like (literally made me feel like throwing up) as a kid, was raisins. To this day, I still really cannot eat them plain, but I love them added to things. Mostly, I like them in savory dishes as added subtle sweetness. For example, in Indian food, or in garlicy pasta dishes, or in a salad. I will eat them in breads/muffins/cookies, too, but having them in a main course dish is my most preferred way to eat them.
BTW, I am a vegetarian now, but as a kid I ate more parts of animals than anyone wants to know (raised on a farm & helped take my own cows/pigs/lambs to slaughter). Funny, kind of the other way around.....stuff I ate as a kid but don't as an adult...for different reasons though. :-
OKay Ill admit I have never tried brussell sprouts
But I have to copy the other two posters.
I use to hate raisins too but now I like the yogurt covered ones
And rice again my mom never had brown rice I still dont love it but I can eat it now.
And SW that is very interesting that yours are more opposite. I actually bet a lot of people have that too since as kids we dont really get to pick what were served. And our beliefs are still being formed and can change as we go into adult hood too.

There's a few things that I like now that I didn't, but there's still a lot of things I didn't like then that I still hate!!! lol
I eat onions now - raw or cooked
I'll even eat tomatoes occassionally - prefer raw to cooked though and somedays I still don't add them to a BLT..
Fish - I wouldn't eat any fish until after ds#1 was born. Salmon is my favorite....before I would rather go without anything than have to eat fish.
Still hate: liver, brussel sprouts, bananas, and coconut

Growing up, I ate everything! Seriously!! This is why I've always been a chubby (now fat) person. Besides, I never knew I had a choice. In my mother's house, dinner was at a certain time, and everyone ate the same thing. She wasn't mean about it. Heck, she wasn't mean about anything! But I don't think the thought ever crossed any of our minds to say that we didn't like something, or wanted something else. We just ate it. I'm glad too, because I grew up eating so many different things, and I don't think there's anything I really don't like. I just love food! I like preparing it, as well as eating it. And I love trying new things, and experimenting with different flavor combinations. Of course, I don't eat meat...but that's an allergy. If I could...I would!!!
So, the short answer to your question is. I liked everything then...and I still do!
Raw tomatoes. There was just something about them that I didn't like as a kid. I would eat them very occasionally on BLT's though. When I was pg with DD, I craved them in my salads. And since then, I love them. She does too. :)
I can't think of anything else. But on the flip side, there's one thing I liked as a kid that I don't like now:
Kidney beans. I remember being little enough to sit in a booster seat and going crazy over what I called "kitty beans" in chili. Now you couldn't pay me to eat them. The texture grosses me out.
