We have taken care of the mold. And the ceilings dont just fall down unexpectdedly, but because of the way the did the work, things keep sagging, and moving and shifting.

Kim, Do you have any family members or friends in another state that your family could stay with till you get on your feet? My feelings is that the economy is crappy no matter where you go, and just because the payscale is a certain amount in one area, it doesn't mean you are going to find a job in that field. If you were to up and leave, your situation could become much worse.

Isnt it like some kind of fraud to have a house be appraised for 25k and then to be sold for 80k? What are your laws in NY as a renter? Im sure you have some kind of rights? Im not any kind of authority on renter, etc. But what I can tell you is that the situation that you are in with your rent to own sounds horrible. You are saying that by the time you have it piad off you will have 100k plus in there and it will only appraise for 25k? You are in control of your own fate here sister. If something is telling you (which is sounds like it is) that things are not on the up and up then you need to talk to hubs and figure it out. Perhaps just straight renting a place in that town for awhile while you get an emergency fund together- then taking on that big move. Or moving in with your mom whom it seems you help out- then you could help each other by cutting your bills in half. Not sure if thats feasible but an option.

Good luck- l

I too am a daycare provider in my home and I do know the stresses you are talking about. I feel at times that I want to do something else, but the perks of being able to work from home - no commuting in the winter, no gas money spent during the week, no wear and tear on the car, etc - these things considered, make the difference. I for one work Mon - Fri and will not care for children after 5 pm. I know that I could make more money if I were to work later and weekends too, but at what cost? My sanity is worth more than a few extra dollars a week. My advice, if at all possible, cut down on the hours you are open for business. Sounds like the stress of working so many hours is not only getting to you, but your kids too. I realize this will probably come down to a decrease in your weekly income, but you might now be as burned out with your job. Good Luck...
