 surf auction, power outage, sick child...just need to vent
well, as everyone has seen on the auctions, the surf/snuggle coupons are going like crazy!:hectic1: well, i figured that i would bid on one or two..well maybe six.  i have my first day off in over a week, and i had planned on finishing the painting and priming in the front room and get started on my bedroom. also set up the DSS's new bed. i told the kids that we would be doing all of this after dinner. DH is at his new part time job (yay!!!) do ya think any of this went as planned?? uh, no. first the power goes out at 7:30pm right before the end of the auctions, then the DSS tells me he is having some trouble breathing and his inhaler is not helping. so, i call DSS's mother to see if she has his neb treatment as he has never had a spell like this in over a year...well, she is truely mother of the year--got busted for drugs twice this year and has no job---well, no answer at her house (she has no job or no money, so where would she be on a friday night??) ok, power is still out, i call the hubby to meet me and the kids at the ER so he can sign papers to have DSS treated, and the power comes on as we are walking out the door, literally. we go back in to turn everything off as it is now 9:30 pm. we get to the hospital, DSS gets IV steroids, a breathing treatment and an xray. (thank goodness he is ok.  ) but now i have missed the auctions that i had bid on, of course i lost, i got none of the work i wanted done. and i have to work the next two nights....oh, i know it is silly, and some may say selfish, but i just really need to vent. ok, thanks for listening. i am done now.
