    Default Paypal debit card

For those who use paypal a lot I would recommend this. I got one and I love it! I get a lot of ebay payment and I saw this but always ignore it thinking it's another credit card offer, but it's not it's a debit it takes money that you have in your paypal account as your balance to use to spend. It allows you to have access to your money without waiting for it to go into your bank account. Especially on the weekends this is great because I know the money I transfer into my bank won't be going in until Wed. So if I need to buy something at Walmart I use to use my bank debit card I now use my paypal debit. I now use my paypal debit more than I use my bank debit card. I also have it set up to use a back up source as my bank card in case I spend too much it will take the rest out of my bank. It's never happened yet, but it's a just in case. I also get 1% cash back so yesterday I had $8.97 put into my account for nothing. Also if I need cash I can go to ATM and take the cash out, but there is a fee from the bank for using the ATM. If I go to my bank it's $3 but I just found out that if I go to our grocery store atm it is $2.

My dh uses paypal regularly for his online business and I told him about getting it and he said I rather have the money go into my bank so he was reluctant. I said okay but it's good to have it as a second option you don't have to use it. He finally got it and changed all his payment to the debit card because he feels he has more control of it this way. He got his 1% cash back and received almost $20 back and has only had it about a month. My dh doesn't use a back of source funding because he doesn't want them to use his bank account he rather it decline. He had a little problem in the beginning because he kept getting calls making sure the transactions were fraud because he was using it a lot and that was getting very annoying but now they stopped.

Anyways, I don't work for paypal selling this just wished I would have looked at this sooner because it makes my life a lot easier.

    Thanks!
I just got my paypal debit card too. I heard that you can get access to your cash by selecting the "cash back" option when you swipe your card at Walmart. Then you don't have to pay any ATM or other fees. Have you tried it? Sounds great to me.

I have had mine for over 2 years......I love it. If I need cash from it, I just go to Wal-Mart, Walgreen's or the grocery store, buy something small and get cash back----no fees that way. I believe you only earn the 1% cash back if you use it as a credit/signature transaction----I don't think you earn it if you use your pin (use as debit).

It came in real handy the other night. My son needed to make a payment online for a tuition payment and they did not take VISA (that's what our check/debit cards are). But they do take MasterCard: so I transferred the $ from my son's bank account into mine----I have mine as a back-up source for my PayPal debit. Then he was able to use my PayPal debit (M/C) to pay his tuition .......no problems.

I have one too and I like it as a money management tool. I can sell stuff on ebay to save up for something specific and then when I have enough in my paypal account I can use my paypal card to pay for whatever it was I was saving up for. This way I can keep it totally separate from our other money.

We've had one for years. It is fantastic! We have a bank card but the return on that is pitiful. With PP we've 'made' over $300 because of the return we get back on it. Comes right out of our bank account, no problem.

The only thing I hate is that if you use your card too much they will lock your account. We just had that happen to us when we went out of town (no less), came back and they thought our card had gotten stolen so locked the account for 3 weeks. That was a headache because we had money in their we needed! Other than that, no problems.

We have had ours for quite a while and love it. We frequently sell high priced items on ebay and it is great to be able to hit the mac machine to take the money out rather than waiting a couple of days to get the money. The cash back is not much, but at least it is something and it does add up.
