I think it is important to remember she probably isn't giving her whole life story in this thread. So NO ONE here knows all of her reasons.

Yep, I had it too and am now so hypothyroid I have to take 2 levothyroxine a day because they cant seem to keep my levels up, but it hasnt slowed me down one bit, in fact I still act like I did before the thyroid cancer and that was back in 95 I had it. My doctor has actually asked me how I get out of bed in the morning when she reads my lab tests my levels are always so low.

You are right we really don't know her whole life story, that's not up for debate. However, it bothered her enough that she would ask strangers what they thought about her living arrangements.

IMO if you are not healthy enough to care for your boys than you aren't healthy enough to care for a man. I think you should get the treatment you need to make yourself "healthy" again. Then get your boys back. Moving can be tough on kids but not hard enough that you should give them up. If BF really is the one for you he will help you through this without making ridiculous financial demands. I also think you should talk to your boys about BF. What are their feelings? My DS's were involved in the decision to move in with my BF. We talked about it for awhile before we actually made the move. You also need a good talk with BF to see what the future is. As far as spliting bills/money your goals should be what is best for the household. BF and I(there will be no marriage ever) each have our own money and bills are split based kind of on what each of us brings in. But if he or I is short a month the other one covers with no problems or expectation of being "paid" back. He doesn't make me pay for gas if we take his car shopping and I don't charge him for doing his "computer" work.
