I hope everyone who is choosing not to get the shots STAYS HOME WHEN THEY GET SICK!!!! Cause nothing ticks me off more than when people get other people sick because there inconsiderate or ignorant.

The reason why they freak about Swine Flu was 1918 outbreak killed millions....people got sick one day, were DEAD THE NEXT!!! Now this strain won't do that....but it nortioriously likes to mutate.

I have friends whose children will be those that will be participating in the clinical trials for it. We should thank all of them!

To be honest....I am rarely sick.....on occasion I might need an antibiotic but I confess scriptures over myself daily....which are God's promises....I am not totally against medicine....but I don't totally rely on it either....and I don't always do what doctors suggest....if I don't have peace about it, I don't do it.....and I refuse to live by fear.....just the way I live.

Thanks! I was just wondering if you shunned traditional medicine in favor of prayer. Some people go to the extremes... and either they die, or in the saddest cases, their kids do. THAT I DO NOT AGREE WITH!

Actually, I tend to stray from western medicine a bit myself

I DO NOT believe in shoving an antibiotic down a kid's throat for every sniffle and ear infection. 95% of the time, EI are viral... and all the antibiotic is doing is prolonging healing.

Vaccinations... pediatrician and I went round and round about until we came to a schedule that we could agree on.

On top of that, I TRY to take halfway decent care of myself. That makes a big difference. Oh, and the kids, too.

Nope, absolutely not. A regular flu shot makes me sick, I can only imagine what the swine flu vaccine will do.

I've gotten a flu shot at three different times. Each time, it made me very sick- migranes, vomiting, and chills that lasted a few days each. Obviously it is a bad reaction to something in the vaccines since this has happened all three times. So no, the fact that the WHO is saying that there is going to be a huge number of cases does not affect my decision.

Again, I don't think healthy older kids and healthy adults should have to worry TOO much about getting the flu. My DS and I both got it last year... I was miserable, but he was still bouncing off the walls!

BUT.... the flu CAN BE VERY FATAL to babies and the elderly, or people who are in poor health to begin with. These are the groups that need to be getting them!
My DD couldn't get one when she was a baby because of the egg. Her pediatrician was viginlant about testing her everytime she sneezed.

Not a bit.....if I feared every time the media came out with all the negative things which are happening in this world....I would never leave my house.....just don't do it.....don't get all the tests done either which doctors tell you to get at this age and that....I live in peace....and I feel what is the worse thing which could happen...I die....oh, darn....I get to go live with my Saviour....what a bummer.....
