We will all be getting the flu shot and the swine flu shot...and you actually have 2 get 2 swine flu shots...we will be getting both.
Swine flu could easily kill my son.
I hope everyone who is choosing not to get the shots STAYS HOME WHEN THEY GET SICK!!!! Cause nothing ticks me off more than when people get other people sick because there inconsiderate or ignorant.

You need to "wake up and smell the roses." If you think that vaccinations are these huge moneymakers for doctors, you're quite ill informed. The reimbursement rate is dismal, and quite a few practices don't keep stock on hand because they lose quite a bit of money by doing so.
And for the record, honey, you're not that bright if you're implying that the swine flu vaccine is responsible for deaths that have been attributed to swine flu because quite frankly, the vaccine in still in development and testing--and has not been administered outside of the recently started clinical trials.
Get your facts straight before you go spouting off at the mouth. It makes your look very ignorant. | AMEN!!!
The reason why they freak about Swine Flu was 1918 outbreak killed millions....people got sick one day, were DEAD THE NEXT!!! Now this strain won't do that....but it nortioriously likes to mutate.
I have friends whose children will be those that will be participating in the clinical trials for it. We should thank all of them! |

I was just wondering if you shunned traditional medicine in favor of prayer. Some people go to the extremes... and either they die, or in the saddest cases, their kids do. THAT I DO NOT AGREE WITH!
Actually, I tend to stray from western medicine a bit myself
I DO NOT believe in shoving an antibiotic down a kid's throat for every sniffle and ear infection. 95% of the time, EI are viral... and all the antibiotic is doing is prolonging healing.
Vaccinations... pediatrician and I went round and round about until we came to a schedule that we could agree on.
On top of that, I TRY to take halfway decent care of myself. That makes a big difference. Oh, and the kids, too.

| Re: Swine Flu Vaccine - Will you get it? Does the fact that the WHO predicts an "explosion in case numbers" affect anyone's choice on getting the shot?? WHO predicts ‘explosion’ of swine flu - Swine flu- msnbc.com WHO earlier estimated that as many as 2 billion people could become infected over the next two years — nearly one-third of the world's population. The flu shot: The viruses in the flu shot are killed (inactivated), so you cannot get the flu from a flu shot. Some minor side effects that could occur are- Soreness, redness, or swelling where the shot was given
- Fever (low grade)
- Aches
Getting even a little sick is very common. |

| Re: Swine Flu Vaccine - Will you get it? I've gotten a flu shot at three different times. Each time, it made me very sick- migranes, vomiting, and chills that lasted a few days each. Obviously it is a bad reaction to something in the vaccines since this has happened all three times. So no, the fact that the WHO is saying that there is going to be a huge number of cases does not affect my decision.

| Re: Swine Flu Vaccine - Will you get it? Again, I don't think healthy older kids and healthy adults should have to worry TOO much about getting the flu. My DS and I both got it last year... I was miserable, but he was still bouncing off the walls!
BUT.... the flu CAN BE VERY FATAL to babies and the elderly, or people who are in poor health to begin with. These are the groups that need to be getting them!
My DD couldn't get one when she was a baby because of the egg. Her pediatrician was viginlant about testing her everytime she sneezed.
