Swine Flu Vaccine - Will you get it?

My kids are homeschool and have never been in daycare so it is not need.
The one and only time I got the flu shot (twenty years ago) I was sick for nearly month.

No thank you! Plus isn't it guess that shot will cover the "correct" flu.

My whole family will be getting one the regular flu shot, but we will have to see about the swine flu. . My kids have never had the flu and I want to keep it that way. I am pregnant now and my dr recommended the regular flu shot, but she hadn't mention the swine flu so we will see, but my kids dr said to bring them back in to get there regular flu shot.

Absolutely NO to both of them.
Read and educate yourself about Squalene that is in swine flu before you get them, especially for your children, please, please, terrible stuff.

I haven't heard anything about the swine flu in forever, so as far as I'm concerned, I have no need for it. If it was that bad, I'd be hearing about it.

I am reluctant to receive the vaccine because like you I am not so sure I need it. I am skeptical of a vaccine that has been developed and manufactured in haste.

But I also worry that if we wait to receive the vaccine until cases are on the rise then will our immune system have enough time to react to the vaccine and produce the antibodies that we need? So call me completely undecided!

I'll get the regular flu shot only, most likely. I will get my kids the regular flu shot as well. I work in food safety, and the flu is something they frown on working around food, lmao! Plus, turnover rate is high in the place I work, and they bring in lots of temp workers. My part time job is at a library...and that place is just a hotbed for sick people.

As for the swine flu, my small lil town was one of the first outbreak areas, and I didn't get it, even working in the library with no protection...so I think I'll pass on it...especially since yeah, I know how sloppy work can be if you try to rush things!

Noway in HELL would I ever get any shots that are put out by the government, especially this one. Ummm there's too many of us, hence the socialized medicine, but I guess this is a whole new topic.
Does anyone wonder how many of the people that died from the swine flu had the shot?

NO, I never said the vacination was socialized medicine, read my post over. You always seem to twist people's words.

Things are a little different now than what they used to be 45+ years ago, when I got my small pox, polio etc. vaccination. Didn't you get them? Why are you calling them stupid?
