Should I tip at Sonic??

I always feel so bad if I dont have any money to tip the Sonic rollar skate people. However, I also hate tipping there b/c I am usually only spending a few dollars and dont want to spend another dollar to tip (you know what I mean?) So what do you do? Do you always tip at Sonic??

I always tip them a 1.00.The Sonic's near my house is beside my local high school.They hire alot of high school students.The service is always fast & the food is good.

I never tip at Sonic. Guess I'm a cheap skate. (pun intended!) DH says he usually tips a buck ever time. He's the spender in our family!

I know no one HAS to tip there, but I always feeled compelled. Especially here in SE GA where it is sooo HOT!

They do not get paid the mimium wage in Texas is what I was told by one of the girls mother who worked there. I had heard this before. They make more off of the tips so I always tip there.

whether you tip .50 or even .25 please know it all adds up.I worked a second job as a waitress for over 2.5 yrs to get custody of my daughter back....all those quarters even help w/ laundary, and court costs and ultimately helped get my daughter back home!

I honestly never considered tipping at Sonic until I saw one of my friends do it. And let me tell, I thought it was the weirdest thing ever.

And now, I just don't eat there.

I don't go often at all... I HATE the tipping thing at a fast food restaurant. I can see it if you pull up and sit there and do the old time car service thing.... but PULEEEEZ... You order thru a speaker.... it's not a true old fashioned drive in.

If we go it's thru the drive thru and now they don't even do window service...they make you pull up to milk you of a tip. I really hate it. However, my DH would just die if I didn't tip, so IF we go, I tip and bite my tongue.

Well I used to work at a Sonic (in high school and when I lived in Virginia) and tipping was always appreciated.

It's true that we were paid minimum wage anyway but, there's alot of things that go on behind the scenes.
