HI Trying to get back into couponing

Prior to having my second baby in January, I was on top of my couponing game. The downstairs freezer was fully stocked, the shelves and pantries were as well. Up until right before I had him, I was still driving around and getting good deals.

But the C-section took a while to recover from, and then I was exhausted in those early weeks because he was up every two hours. Our dog, Riley, got sick in March and after two months of medication, prescription food, blood tests and visits to specialists, we had to have him put down in June.

I went back to work in April, and things were very hectic with having to get my 4 year old and the baby ready to go in the morning. :hectic1: And then, even with DH making dinner, it seemed like each evening was just spent getting things ready for the next day. I could barely find time to go food shopping at all, except for picking up milk and bread. And my Sunday inserts were sitting untouched for weeks at a time. It seemed like there weren't any good sales going on, and no good coupons when I found the time to look at them, so I just didn't even bother to go shopping.

But now it's August...... the baby is 6 months old and has been sleeping through the night for months now. Although busy with summer activities, we've gotten into a pretty good routine with the kids and I feel like I have things under control again. Except for one thing.... the cupboards are getting bare!

So I'm determined to get back into couponing and stockpiling. I was excited to see some good coupons(a nice change!) in the Sunday paper this morning, which helped motivate me even more. None of my friends or family understand this, but I knew you all would. I'm sure everyone goes through phases where couponing gets put on hold while you deal with things in your life. Wish me luck in my endeavor!
