I need friends...

I am soo bored now and it's Friday night! DH is out with our male friends for some male bonding and I am just feeling so depressed all of sudden that made me cry..

I moved here a year ago, I basically started anew here in the USA. I have no friends except for DH's friends..... I don't drive and no car... so I am like stuck at home everyday.... :sad: The TV, laptop, washer and dryer are my friends now..... I miss my real friends and family back home.. Sometimes I feel like packing my bags and leave just like that....

I think I need friends of my own. I am boooooreeeed and sad :sad:

I am sorry to hear that. I know how you feel I was married to a man that did not allow me to have friends for 10 years, so I am limited on friends myself. I am no longer with that man but it is hard to make friends. I would be your friend I don't think I live anywhere near you but I could be your hcw friend.

It is really difficult to make friends as an adult when you move to a new place. I moved to AZ 3 years ago and only now have a group of friends to hang out with. Most of them I met through work or through acquaintenances, and some I met through mutual activities. What do you like to do in your free time? Perhaps joing a group in your area would allow you to meet people with similar interests.

I totally understand how you feel. I moved from Indiana (born and raised there) to Iowa. Been here for 14 yrs. The way I met people is through work and parent of my children.

It's not that I dont met people, but my friends who are the best in the world- are 6 hrs away. The friends I have made are busy people like I usually am. It is harder to "hang Out".

My best friend and her husband just came on a trip to see us. Spent 4 wonderful days with them.

I am so blessed to have such great friends but I really miss living in the same town.

There are other great people around me but it is really hard to "spend time" with them.

I just stay involved at church. The friends I make there are great people too. We don't get to hang out like my friends in Indiana did, but I really think even if I was back there- we are just busy people and it is different now that we are older.

awwwww ((hugs)) you seem so sweet online im sure u will have no problem if u can just get out and make some friends...maybe u should learn how to drive if u dont know how to?? it will take time but everything thats worth it takes some hard work...thank god for the internet and this website...even though i have never met some of the people i chat with online they are my online friends and sometimes is all it takes when i get lonely..maybe talk to your dh on how u feel and see if he is willing to help u try to get out and just meet people...it is so hard as an adult, i dont know if you have any children but that is a good way to meet other parents through kids activities...if not then maybe join some sort of group in your area or if you have stores in walking distance try to get a parttime job...good luck to u and if you ever need an online friend in the meantime just shoot me a pm and you can sound off all u want!!!!!

Awww big hugs! I have very few girlfriends any more and I didn't even move. But sometimes I really do miss having those close friends to talk to all the time. I think like others said, you've got to get out there. Maybe there's a group you can join or maybe you can even start your own! Start a little couponing class at the local church or community center. Volunteer somewhere! I bet there are other women in your area feeling the same way!

I can totally understand. 4 years ago my DH (BF at the time) and I moved to California, when I finally made some friends, we moved to a different part of California. We then became friends with a great family and my son had his first friend. Then, 2 mos ago my DH got a job transfer and we had to move to Maryland, clear across the country. It is so hard to make new friends and where we live I haven't found anybody that I can relate to. It is sad but right now HCW is where I talk to people to get that adult conversation.

yep! Time to branch out and do something for yourself.

Start out slow. Find a group that has like interests and get involved.

Everyone needs an outlet,
and it can work with kids or without.
