HAPPY DANCE I am so excited!

The husband went and ordered my upright freezer at Sears! 7.5 cu. ft and it was 20% off and I had a $5 coupon! Now I will really be able to take advantage of more Giant Eagle food deals. That's why I posted here . This will make it so much better for me!
Now to get it plugged in as soon as he gets it home Tuesday so I can go get my Eggos and other stuff Wednesday evening! I cannot fit ONE box of Eggos right now, and mommy just does not make waffles at 7:30 am on a Monday!
That and the Super Pretzels et al, they are taking up all of the space up in our freezer on the bottom fridge!

Here's hoping there's some stuff we need next shopping week too so I can fill 'er up!

Congrats!!! I just know you will absolutely love it!!!

I just bought a new freezer too! We have our upstairs and downstairs refrigerator-freezers, but both were packed to the point of almost having to duct tape the doors shut. What a difference since we got it! Now I have beef/pork freezer, an everyday freezer (for items that we may have opened but not used up, like icecream, waffles, etc) and the big freezer for everything else and poulty items.

    Happy shopping to fill it!!!

It's like you just had a new baby! LOL

I just got one for Christmas and it is quite full! You will LOVE it! It is easier to coupon frozen food items having it. Congrats!

    CONGRATS!!!!!

If anyone belongs to the PIP program for their electric bill, see if they have the audit program where they come and audit your fridge and freezer.
They do that here, and my OLD (as in about 30 years old) freezer was using $21 a month, so they gave me a brand new Frigidaire 21 cf upright with all the bells and whistles.
    FREE!!
    Retails for $729 :smile77:

Freezers should really come with a backup generator.

I remember in 2008, there was a thread about how owners of freezers dealt with a power outage.

    It was not pretty.

I got some stuff in her today... aaaahhh! She's so pretty sitting there next to our (now) stacked front loaders. Just quietly doing her job.
I am grateful that we have not had any major power outages her like my friend in Parma gets. Those are AWFUL! She had her power go out in '02 and she had to struggle to heat her daughters formula (and her mother got on her about breastfeeding- just offer her a way to heat the formula lady!).
If we lost power significantly we'd be over at my aunts house in 5 minutes after loading our girl up into the husbands truck. My uncle has generator(s) amoungst many other things.
I can't wait to go get my steamfresh tomorrow afternoon! Time to get with the neighbors about ordering some meat to split!
Thanks for understanding the happiness people; I'm sure my friends on Facebook would think I'm more crazy than they already do!
