The Positives: Have something you are really happy or excited about?

I am thankful that I have wonderful online friends.
I am thankful that I have a few real life friends.
I am thankful that I have children that drive me nuts, love me, would do anything for me, are respectful and polite to other.
I am thankful that I have a husband that loves me and cherishes me even tho he does drive me nuts sometimes and some days I don't like him.
I am thankful that I have animal to share my life with.
I am thankful that no matter what happens in this world, I have a family that will stick together.
I am thankful that I have an online community that will tell me like it is even when I don't want to hear it, lend a shoulder for me to cry on, help me find deals to save my family money and to debate topics that can get heated but always give another point of view.
I am thankful that I've have the option to attend college and graduate at the age of 37 in May 2009.
I am thankful that I have Parents that love me no matter what.
I am thankful that I live in a country where I voice my opinion, vote for officials and choose my religion without any bad recourse.
I am thankful that my headaches are finally easing up and hopefully will be going away all together soon.

I know there is probably more but I won't bore you with any more.

I am thankful I grew up with very little. I know how to be happy with what I have.

I am thankful for my husband - he gets on my last nerve, but I love him so.
I am thankful for my 4 children - for helping me to become a better person every day and teaching me patience and to live in the moment.
I am thankful for the March of Dimes - without this organization, our twins would not have survived.
I am thankful to have a roof over my head, clothes, and plenty to eat.
I am thankful for the love of my parents and siblings - esp. for accepting me for who I am.
I am thankful to be out of school and on to other things.
I am thankful to still have my grandparents in my life - they are in their 80's and their health is tenuous, but I was able to dance with my grandpa at my wedding at age 34 - and for that I will always be grateful.
I am thankful to have many close friends that have stood by me over the years.
I am thankful that there are other people who share my addiction to being frugal - and who give me access to better deals.
I am thankful for my health and that of my family.
I am thankful for NPR as my main source of entertainment (outside of HCW, of course).
I am thankful that both my DH and I are employed - and that we know we can weather financial stress together.

I am mostly just thankful and grateful for my life...the good, the bad, and the ugly. I am even grateful for my husbands 1st wife who drives me crazy on a regular basis, because without her I would be missing a very special 10 y.o. in my life.

I am thankful for so many things that this post would be too long. I keep a gratitude journal so that I remember to count my blessings each day. But my 3 top most thankfulls are

My faith in God through good times and bad.
My family and friends who are my rock, my joy, and my soft place to fall.
All of my needs are met and many of my wants. There are so many people that have so little that I am reminded to be thankfull of everything I have.

Right at this exact moment...I'm thankful DH will be home in a few minutes and I can get the heck away from my whiny cranky kids! LOL.

But really, there are sooo many things I'm thankful for that I couldn't possibly list them all. The usual, family and friends. Thankful that dh and I have beaten the odds and remain happy and committed to each other and our family. My beautiful (although obnoxious) kids. And on and on and on.

I started this thread to complement the venting thread in HUTC. Since that thread was started, I don't seem to have anything to vent about, oddly enough. I do keep having good things happen that I want to tell people about though.

So this is a positive thread here! No negatives.

I am really happy about my awesome trip to Kroger today. I had an overflowing cart full of groceries and paid less than $60 for it.

And I am happy about the nice weather here in Michigan right now.

I planted some vegetable seeds this winter and the tomatoes have sprouted already! I had to bring them inside this weekend because the weather turned cold again, but I'm really excited about having my own veggies this summer.
