The Positives: Have something you are really happy or excited about?

Today is the first day of school! And our 15 year old is as happy as we are!! She's not the world's best student...but she's happy to back in a building full of her friends. And I'm happy to have the house to myself for the day! But wait!! Hubby decided to go into work at noon instead of 8 today...so he'll be home with me all morning. Then, I have to leave at 1:30 to pick up the grandkids from their first day of school. I'm actually not complaining!! I love spending mornings with my hubby! And I love seeing my grandkids and spending time with them!

Now, in all honesty, I had planned a "Ferris Beuller's Day IN" today. I figured that nobody would be home from 7:30 until 4pm. So...I was going to stay in my jammies until noon (something I NEVER do!), watch whatever I wanted to watch on TV, eat whatever I wanted...even if it was ice cream for breakfast!!!, not answer the phone, no housework, no bill-paying!! Just fun stuff!!!! Just for ME!!!! I'm thinking tomorrow sounds like the perfect day for this!

We are in the process of refiancing our house. It will save us over $9,000 in interest and will lower our payment by a bunch. The goal is to pay extra and have this house paid off in about 5 years! That would/will be so awesome!

My husband got a new job!!! It's:

20% more per hour
10% more hours (old place: 36, new place 40)
84% less miles to drive (old place 100 miles/day, new place 16 miles/day)

He'll be director of maintenance at a 100 bed nursing home, and he starts the day after Labor Day.

I know for a fact that some of you here have been praying that this happened. And I want to thank each and every one of you! Our goal now, is to see if it's possible for me to quit working soon. (I hope!!!!)
