I was thinking the same thing this past weekend. Dh wanted to go to "the big city" because it is his spring break this week. The stores were packed, and people were spending tonnnns of money. The girl in front of me at Target literally spent over $500- $100 on hangers alone- Hangers people!

We just got a Louis Vuitton store here, we have Coach, and Maserati dealerships, etc. Just opened 134 new stores at the mall!! I sure see a lot of shoppers myself, and McCormick and Schmick's seafood restaurant was packed, as was Ruth's Chris. What recession? ;)

I don't get it either- The places we have shopped -Winco really Packed. We have cut back and I 'm using coupons more than ever. We are really worried about my Husbands job he is a music teacher here in California for the last 24 years and if the school district cuts the program no job for him. Children that have Music in school do better in school.
I work also fulltime Retail (not a high paying job) big joke. We have two children under 6 years of age. We budget all of our spending.

If its not broke can't get a new one. Whats wrong with this picture? Tell Me President OBAMA!. Our Schools are not Safe! Pissed on California!!!!!! I hear nothing but lies on the t.v. about our schools

There is a lot of spending here in Winchester, VA - most of the big restaurants are always full - people here love to eat; though I have noticed that more people in the grocery stores using coupons (looking for those deals).
