My classroom is destroyed...

Long story short...I walked into my classroom this morning and it was flooded.

My family owns a large preschool, and one of the buildings consists of two large classrooms where my sister and I teach PreK in the morning. Verizon was laying new fiber optic lines yesterday and managed to collapse the sewer line to our building.

Both classrooms are flooded. The wall paneling, shelves, cabinets, carpeting, rugs, wooden furniture, two computers, and a great deal of materials and books will have to be trashed. ServPro is there now trying to clean up and salvage what they can...it looks like we will be out of our rooms and doubled up with other classes for awhile.

We have insurance, naturally, and a head honcho from Verizon came out and was extremely apologetic, asking if there was anything he could do, provide us with, etc...

Uh, yeah. Five or six big guys, some pizzas, and a big fat check.

It's been a rough day...I need a hug!! And to top it all off, we are scheduled to have "Rodeo Day" tomorrow complete with activities all morning and parent volunteers coming in. Waahh! :sad:

Ooh, I hope you took lots of pictures for that in case you need proof if Verizon tries to back out of fixing that fiasco. What a mess! So sorry you are going through this.
