Not for coupons, though I did talk about how much I save using coupons too, but that didn't make it in the article. And of course, they used the one out of 500 pictures that I wasn't smiling.

But my kids look great!

Way to go! How fun having a local celebrity here in AZ! I will check out the article when I get the chance. I hope that this interview/photo session took place a few weeks ago, because I know you are not diverting your attention from the mega deal at Fry's Food!

LOL It was Saturday and only took about 1 hour, so I still had plenty of time for shopping.

Of course the whole morning was spent on cleaning the house.

7 kiddos! Wow! Cloths are pretty cheap right now at retail. In the last year, the most I spent was $14 (normally $50) on a winter jacket for DS. In the last month, the most I spent at Old Navy, Gymboree, and Crazy 8's was $2.99/item.

I understand with 7 kids that this is costly. The swap you set up is a great idea!

I agree 100% with this. I tend to purchase DH higher end shoes and pants for work. I do this with appliances too. The items last much longer and save $$ in the long run.

I just have to remind DH to tie and untie his shoes. I was pretty angry last night when I saw his Kenneth Cole shoes laced on the floor. Great way to ruin the shoes quick.

Actually, I did tell her that we shopped the clearance racks at retail stores and $1 days at Thrift stores. (we never pay full price) I agree too about the quality. That's why we don't shop at walmart.

We have been getting really good quality items at the swaps and my teens even find a ton of name brands-so they are happy. Mostly, the swaps are a lot of fun, but it does help in the clothes budget too.
