Default What kind of house doesn't have food coloring?

Yet another snow day today. :hectic1: At this rate, the kids are going to be going to school until the end of July.

So the boys and I are having a productive day.

We made 2 little Kooky Crazy Mini Cars from a kit I'd gotten at Borders before Christmas.

We've played Legos and put together a pretty cool jet plane.

We made banana applesauce muffins.... yummmm

and we made homemade playdoh, but we don't have any food coloring so it's a pretty blah boring color. How can I not have food coloring? :shrug7:

I think we'll work on Valentine's cards this afternoon, in between bouts of shoveling this lovely &*$*#(*$!%*$(#) snow that's falling from the sky.

And here's the real kicker - we're all 3, still in our jammies!

Having never experienced a snow day - it actually sounds good to me. I like the idea of not feeling pressured to go anywhere, but can imagine with my 4 kids I might get cabin fever if it lasted more than 3 days. When it gets super hot in the summer, we mostly stay inside - but that is not the same. Have fun and enjoy the PJ time!

LOL!!! I could loan you some, but we're snowed in too!!!! Although, if you wanted red...I don't have any! My husband used both bottles that I had, when he was trying to find a leak in his brother's car. (I don't ask...I just hand him the stuff!!)

We're out of snow days here too. They used some in Sept, when that darned hurricane hit Ohio. And honestly...I'm fine with them going to school another week in June!! It's one week less that I have to hear, "there's nothing to do!!"

hmmm, we just had a few snow days a couple of weeks back. It was also like 10 or 20 below zero so it was no fun at all.... and I have no kids, so I didn't have anyone to play with because the dog's tootsies might have frozen off.

I could go for one of those snow days that happen because of like 3 feet of snow ~ I love shoveling.

YAY for you with your snow day, though. When you are done with the kids, will you come over and play with me? I would love to make play dough, and I have food colors, and neon ones, too!!!

Hey just a FyI I used to work in a pre school and we always use Kool- aid to color our playdough. I know it is too late now but for the future when it comes time to add the water just add the koolaide to it as much or as little as you like. it smells good and colors all at the same time. We did find that certain colors when too much is added it did rub off but just ever so lightly so don't use too much.

I remember in junior high some girls would use red/purple Kool-Aid as temporary hair dye...yuck!

LOL Oh the days, not good to do this on blond hair that is a little damaged from using a crimper on a daily basis. The ends never did wash out completely and I had this weird purpleish hair for about a month before I had to get it cut off. Big crimped purple hair with lots of aqua net hair spray, gotta love 9th grade

What!?! No Kool-aid? I can RAOK ya some (I only have like 300 packs after the WYB coupons in last summer) I dare say that there may actually be many members willing to supply you with enough Kool-aid to get your kids thru college.
