Help!!! I need ways to make money, Now. Update

I've noticed quite a few coupon sellers on Ebay. If you could get extra Smartsource, Red Plum or PG coupon flyers in bulk, I think they would sell really well. I know some folks are good at dumpster diving at their recyling centers or getting the older papers cheaply. The only other thing I can think of to help you would be to suggest Angel Food Ministries. If you don't know about them, they have a website that shows all the locations. You can buy a box of food to feed a family of four for a week for $30. It's amazing the amount of food you get for the money. We have been getting it for our daughter's family for the last few months and 2 boxes feed them half the month for $60 with just a few extras from the grocery store.

I sometimes write for a website called associatedcontent dot com & they pay you for the articles you write via paypal. You get upfront pay for each article usually $4-8 each and then you get paid per view of your articles after publication. I haven't written articles in months and I still get $3 a month from them for views. It's free to sign up and they're clear with the bbb. You can check them out on the website. I am sorry but I disagree. I lost my house last Christmas in a foreclosure your best bet is to find a company that will help you in this horrible time. There are company's that will help you save your home. A refinance or a stop foreclosure. My lending company was washington Mutal and they DID NOT HELP!!! They would not even give us time to make up the payments. The other option is Bankrupcty chapter 13. This allows you to keep your home as long as you make the required payments on time.

Iam soo sorry to hear about your home, My family is being laid off and I have lost my job as well. I had to sell everything that meant anything just to feed my kids. If you have kids you can apply for diversion through DSHS and they will help you catch up on your bills up to $1500.00. House payments included! The housing authority also has help for folks in need. If you are low income you can get help with your phone and electric bill though the housing authority as well. Maybe you could use that money for your home?

I am sorry you lost your home. I know this is probably one of the most painful/stress events a family can go through. In my post I tried not to imply that all banks are workable, I am painfully aware some are not. I have been a Realtor for a long time, if there ever was a time to try to renegotiate a loan, now is the time. If the bank thinks that the borrower is
capable of repayment, some of them will make an offer to the borrower.

Some other thoughts:


This situation is an emotional roller coaster(so be extra kind to yourself and hubby), but if you want to keep your home....renegotiating is worth a shot.
Be careful using outside companies to negotiate for you. Some of them are preditory and the bank can view them as an advisary.
Consult with a trusted attorney(one hour with an attn. can help present your options clearly and guide you on a route that can save huge money in the end)

When I am low on cash I take some of my kids clothes that they have outgrown to Once upon a child and they give me cash for whatever they take.

Sell sell sell!! Things you think won't sell, like old dishes, linens, gold, anything in the garage you don't use but think you will one day--SELL IT!! Bedding, ugly lamps, benefiber (ha), clothes, dresses, slacks, mens shirts. All that stuff normally sells on craigslist. Just make sure and post pics, I don't think many people will even look if there aren't any pictures.

There are some work at home jobs too you can do. Not sure how fast some will pay. check out www.workplacelikehome.com I LOVE that site, will tell you what places are legit to apply for and what isn't. That site is actually how I found hcw!

Do you have a basement or a garage? Do an indoor "yard" / "rummage" sale.... I am in GA and we even do that due to hot/cold or icky weather!

How about babysitting? I babysit on the side now and then. I charge $10/hr with a 3hr minimum. Rate will vary by location. Don't know how much your area would support.

Selling gold and silver for scrap to a jeweler is another idea. Gold is still quite high. I got $30 for two thin rings, one 10k and the other 14k (fake stone in one and a dead opal in the other).
