i'm very sorry for your loss.
I am updating this post as there was a new (wonderful) article written in this past Sunday's Star Ledger. Coleman is pictured on the front page, and the story goes on for 4 full pages. Not only about Coleman, but other soldiers who have taken their lives after serving.
Coleman's Story
If you scroll down, you will find the newest story about not only Coleman, but others as well. And please make sure to turn your volume on as well. Thank you
I hope that I am putting this in the right place, it seems like the right one.
My sister and I lost a friend of ours this past September. It has been a difficult journey for his friends and family, and we are trying to get his story out. My sister made a beautiful tribute video to him on U-Tube, and we are trying to get his story out to over 10,000 people. We are currently at 719.
Some quick background: Coleman was a SGT in the US Army, who did 2 tours in Iraq with the possibility of a 3rd. He was supposed to be done with his time there this November, he never made it. He was diagnosed w/ PTSD through the VA hospital, but the Army sent him back. This past September, he took his own life, rather than face the high possibility of returning to Iraq a 3rd time.
He was a great guy, who could make you feel like you were the only person in the room of 30. At his service, over 300 people showed up and it was, LITERALLY, standing room only.
PLEASE, help us get his story out. If we can help just one person from doing what he did, then we have accomplished something. PTSD affects all types of people from all walks of life. Please watch the video, leave a comment, send it around.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart

Thank you both. We just want to educate people on PTSD. That is our main goal. We are also working w/ his parents to help (especially) our soldiers who suffer from PTSD. The statistics are scary. So if we can at the very least have someone who knows someone that may suffer from it, are goal is to let that friend know that there are people who can help them. We don't want what he did to continue w/ others. And I am in the very beginning stages of (hopefully) getting a fund raiser together to raise awareness of PTSD. We shall see. Again, thank you for watching

Great Video, sad story!! With your permission I'd like to post the link on other sites.
Please, please do! That is what we are aiming for. To get it out there, and to let others know that what Coleman did, is not the answer. There is help. Thank you very much. I still cry watching it, or talking to others about him. This, I guess you could say, is my own way of healing. Trying to help others.

I would like to do the same, I am going to post it on another website I am active at, which has a pretty big group of people, and also fwd it to my sil who will probably do the same.
I have heard of this situation several times on the local news here, and yes, it does need to be more public, and maybe something can be done to help those who suffer.
I hope its ok that I copy and paste your post, so everyone can have a background of the video before watching it.
Please feel free to copy and paste it, forward it, link anything you feel you need to do in order to get Coleman's story out.
I thank you all for helping me in this journey!! It is a long road that we have in order to help our soldiers, but little steps will get us there. I might start making up shirts as well in order to get the word out about PTSD and Coleman's story, with the portion of the proceed going to help soldiers with PTSD. I will speak w/ his father and let him chose the organization as it is his son.
I can not thank you all enough. From the bottom of my heart,
Thank you
