welcome to a day in my life lol

well this week is the first week that we've had to overtime. but they are slowing down to possibly 4 days a week. my daily routine starts anywheres depending on stormy between 5am to 8am she is teething more so she is a bit miserable. on her bad days she is up at 5:30ish or 6am ,change her diaper, give her a drink, feed her breakfest, watch a little cartoons with her till Emilee wakes, then feed her, start my day with daily chores. cleaning, laundry, ect. I try to make an effort to come here 1-2 hrs (not all at once), feed them lunch, play with the kids, downtime if Stormy takes a nap I jump in the shower. Emilee gets to watch a movie of her choice, or play 1 video game for keeping her room clean. ( Idk its her only chore is her room since she is 4 I figured she can have at least 1 responsibilty kwim?) usually about 3pm I wake Mike up because he works 3rd shift. 12pm till 8am ( I used to work this shift but after Emilee was born I switched to 2nd) so then I round up by work bag with waters, snacks, sometimes a cup at hand soup to have at lunch to keep me warm. Go to work be there by 4pm, I leave early to stop at giant or cvs is this greedy of me to do? I usually arrive at work by 330 depending if I find any deals or not if not I go right to work, work from 4pm to midnight as a packing machine operator, it is stressful to keep 15-20 machines running with 3 other operators. But machine have problems, there is cleaning, garbage, packers have drama. ect, ect. come home shower because the seasoning upstairs travels downstairs and unless you want to smell like a chip showering is a must ROFL get a drink, watch my all my children that I tape .( the only show unless its Biggest Loser that I tape) check my email. chat with my stepsister who is 8 hrs away online through yahoo. check HCW for new posts and read up on things. look for freebies, and rebates. go to bed between 1-2am. start the nextday at random. welcome to a day in my life. ROFL when I was working 12 hrs it was 4pm to 4am try waking at 5am with a teething little one and go to work ROFL I felt delusional.. LOL

on the weekends. We try to make a point to do an outing ona weekend weather permitting. 2 Weekends ago we went to the PA grand Canyon it was wonderful, we took all the kids the Boys were with us that weekend as well ( we get the boys every other week due to shared custody with there mother and father(mike). We try to make a point to do something together, wether its a walk, watch movies together, or alone time . I think in the last 4 3 yrs together, we've had maybe 2 whole dates to ourselves ROFL

At least it saves on daycare though. Daycare is so overrated the prices they charge.

Sorry--as a preschool teacher I feel compelled to respond to that! Please know that most preschool/daycare teachers don't get paid very well at all, and we work hard! Also, if it's a good center (like mine is), I'd say it's worth every penny! My son attended the center I work at, and since we're a "learning center" (the children learn as well as have time to play), he learned a lot and was very prepared for kindergarten this year.
