Hot Button Save up to 58% on gas

Any one ever heard of cheap gas online? They claim you buy a gas card (more like a discount card) at a discounted rate (up to 58%), you then purchase the gas and get reimbursed for the gas. I know dealerships sometimes offer something like this. I wouldn't mind submitting receipts if its legit???:shrug7:

    It's a scam.

I can't remember where I saw the story on sites like those, I'll have to look it up and post when I can find it.

It just doesn't make sense that it would work. Where is the money going to come from to discount the gas that much? They try to make it sound like the gas station gives them some sort of promotional money for sending you to that station, but then claims to be good at each and every gas station in country. They made a deal with every single gas station coast to coast? A deal that would let you buy gas at half price at a station that you were probably going to visit anyway? Not likely.

Sounds like a scam to me.
I can't be done shopping, I still have coupons left!!!

This site has "scam" written all over it. First if you search for the domain name owner this is what comes up: WHOIS domain registration information results for cheapgasonline.com from Network Solutions

Look at the Owner's name and Street Address. "Gift Baskets" and "Hostmaster", "Oneanddone", etc. Seems fishy.

A search of the two addresses given shows that they are real addresses but look at the businesses at those addresses.

1&1 Internet Inc. has four reports on ripoffreport .com

Ripoff Report Search Results: 1&1 Internet Inc.!

And I just noticed, the IP address in in Germany. Not a good sign. I would stay far, far away from this.

Take a look at the terms & conditions page:
DISCOUNT GAS CLUB : Terms and Conditions

Please note the section of Shipping & Delivery...where it notes that you can only use 1/6th of the value of the card in a given month.

Which tells me, if you buy a $60 card, you can only redeem $10/month. So it takes you 6 months to reap all the benefits.

Someone might wanna call or ask them about that. I'm too lazy.

Wow you guy really know how to look into things. I would have never come up with this info. Thanks, I thought it sounded fishy but so did getting things for free with coupons, at first. I was just hoping someone had done it before. I think I'll pass. Even if it worked, I'm not willing to stretch it out over 6 mo.
