Oh no!! My back glass just blew out in my van for no reason. We think it had somehow gotten a stress crack or something. 600 bucks will be the damage I'm sure. There goes Christmas. Sigh. Maybe I don't get to be a sahm I've been one for 4 mos now. I have to take 3 classes starting in Oct so I can't really get a job til Jan. Oh boy these next few months are going to be fun. Hmm maybe I can sell my cloth diapers and my sons huge thomas the train collection.... Guess I'm going to ave too now.

What is the deductible on your car insurance. This would be covered under your comprehensive deductible. Most people don't realize that it makes more sense to have a lower deductible on your comprehensive insurance on your car since it covers theft and window breakage and it doesn't cost much more for a 100 versus 500 deductible.

ITA! At first, I felt like I needed to chase each & every deal and was super upset if it didn't go the way I planned or I missed it. But then I started running out of room and had tons of stuff we didn't even use. I started donating it & giving it away to family members & co-workers.

I learned that you win some & you lose some. I stopped letting it bother me & started only stockpiling stuff my family will absolutely use....otherwise it's not such a great deal to us. Yes, free is great, but if it's not something we'll use then I just pass on the deal.

OP, I feel your pain. I've been couponing for more than 35 years. A few months ago, I looked around and saw a stockpile that was getting out of control. I went on "the challenge" in July and spent no money oop. I did allow $50 oop for Aug and again in Sept and have done pretty well with it. The hardest part has been to stop chasing the deals. I broke down and did a couple of deals i.e. the Kellogg's $10 cereal rebate and a bit of other things. It's hard to go "cold turkey" on the deals. Perhaps if you do a "challenge" similar to what I've done, it might make it easier to resist the deals because you are accountable.

Just remember that some deals are so good that you CAN'T ignore them. It's just learning the difference that takes time.
