Default Truck Drivers and young kids?

I hope this is the right spot.

Do any of you have a DH who is a truck driver and you have younger children?

DH is a car hauler which was supposed to be temporary work until he could get his biz off the ground. Doesn't look like that's happening as soon as we thought we could. OUr first child is due in October and it's not looking likely that he'll get a job here. He's home on the weekends. He doesn't want to be a "part-time" father, but no jobs have come up which he qualifies for.

I'm so mad, sad, frustrated about this. I feel so alone. I know he's doing best to provide for our family. If he got a job close to home to be home every night, our income would be cut in half, if not more. We have bills and I don't want to scrape by. Especially with a newborn, I want to keep my sanity and not stress over bills.

Next year, if he's still with the company, he can be home every night because a Kia plant is opening up just a few cities over and he can haul locally from there and still make the same amount of money. UNtil then...we are stuck with weekends.

I'm a full time nursing student and can't put my degree off any longer. So I'll be going to school FT while baby is in daycare.

Pleaseeee tell me someone has gone throuh this and made it through.

    Always ISO:

My dad has been an over the road trucker and don't worry I made it out ok. When I was going through my troublesome years he found a new company that was local, and when I moved out he went back to over the road. Now I have a daughter and he gets so mad because he is never home when I drive her out there. But I know my mom gets lonely. She says can't all you kids move back in lol.
I pray you are able to make it through this stressful time. And I pray something else may come up even temporary so he is able to be home with you.
