looks great -- and yummy!
Killing two birds with one stone here.
I tried out our pictures/album feature here at the site to create my first album.
But then for those who've wanted to see my edible landscaping project, I used these pictures to try out the new albumn feature.

As you can see, we're down to the last few projects around the house. Need to fix a bit of the siding, and then pick out paint colors cause our paint job won't go another Oregon winter.
Creating the album was super easy to do. Clicking on the picture when you click the link above will open the entire album up.

Our lot is just shy of 15,000 sqft. The house is just over 3400 sq ft. The yard since we bought the house has been basically unusable. When we bought the house, you couldn't see the house through the shrubs and old trees which were diseased and poorly cared for. So we probably cleared about 20 trees off the property and oodles of shrubs and rocks. It's a corner lot and they used river rock and rhodies and huge hedge shrubs all over the place.
Mark didn't want the house when we first say it even though the inside is amazing because he couldn't see the the yard. I told him we just had to find the yard. So four years later, here we are with just about the yard that we've always wanted.
I'd really like to have some acreage someday, but if we don't get there, this yard will suffice and produce enough fruits and veggies for at least my family, if not some of the neighborhood. The overarching goal with the hedges with berries is that we have a neighborhood of walkers - we wanted to let people berry pick as they strolled by our house.
The blueberries alone should be able to produce 800 pounds of blueberries when the plants are fully mature. What we don't use for ourselves and what the neighbors don't take will be bagged and taken down to the foodbank in town.

Looks great! Funny, though, it's late here (I can't sleep) and when I saw the title of this thread I had visions of Candy Land with gum drop bushes and candy cane fences. I guess I better get some sleep...or some sugar.![]()
Currently in the process of moving and.
I won't be around much.

I do think the album feature is cool though cause you can add descriptions to each picture as well as posting them.
Can't wait to see other people's pics as they get them loaded up to the site.

I am so jealous! Your yard is beautiful
am I understanding this correct that you made the concrete walls since the yard is on a slope? and so by building the walls and adding fill you now have more workable yard? is that right?
want to mail me some blueberries?
