Did you know laptops are disposable?

I am using my 4 year old ( hm...maybe 5) HP laptop right now. No problems like that. Usually if there is a problem, it is something I did LOL. Knock on wood. I love mine.

I have a dad who is a computer expert, and he trained me in common sense as well, so if I ever have any issues and I can't fix them, I take it to him:).

You can't sell more batteries if they all last forever...

Todays techy industry is actually made to let things break down quickly. They don't actually make their tons of money on things like printers...they make it on the ink, or as they refer to it...the consumables. They sell the printer once, they sell the consumables over and over.
Also consider the fact that because of the fast paced industry, newer models are made every 6 months making the old models obselete. They don't want to spend the money wasting space having to carry parts for it, lots of overhead costs there. To survive they need to spend their time on R and D making newer models to compete. It's best if you just chuck it and buy a new one.

A long time ago in a galaxy far away they made things that lasted...but no more. Isnt' convenient how the price of the repair is the same as buying a new one?
