Bf didn't work for us.. I've been pumping since day one and supplementing with formula when needed. He's 10 weeks now. Hope to pump until he's a year old and then the boobies are done.

I just googled it. It reminds me of when I was pregnant with my first child. When I told my boss I would need a place to pump when I returned to work, he told me to use the bathroom. I went to his boss, and was told the same. I told them I would be using the small staff lounge (it was a little room, rarely used, that had a sofa and some magazines). I asked them to put a lock on the door, and they refused, so I used to put post-it notes on the door saying "room in use for the next 15 minutes". One guy actually complained, and wanted to know why he couldn't come in. Uuhhh...cuz there's a machine hooked up to my boobies? People are just such jerks. I should have just pumped in my cubicle! and put it all on display.
How many days until summer?
I nursed my first until just before she was 2. I am actually quite proud of this because at the time I was young and stupid and there wasn't a whole lot of information out there...19 years ago. My more recent experiences are more recent. My personal limit was 4, but my now 6 year old had other ideas and he nursed until shortly after 5. I began to be uncomfortable with it, and was able to wean him...wasn't easy, though. My almost 3 year old still nurses a few times a day, and my 4 month old...well, she nurses A LOT!!! I have been nursing non-stop, not a day without someone nursing, since Halloween 6 years ago.

Nursing beyond 1 year of age is out of the question for me. Any longer than that is for the mother's benefit IMO.
