Re: Kids Say the Darndest Things! LOL...I know what you mean. My brother hunts. He was talking about it, once, whe we were over at my mom's. My DS (maybe 5 at the time?) asked what you did when you went hunting...he thought he might like to go with his uncle. My brother said, "ya look for deer". My son looked very excited and asked, "what do you do when you find them?" My brother, being young, unmarried and with no kids at the time replied "you shoot 'em". My son't face was awful. He immediately teared up and lost all color in his cheeks and his little mouth just dropped open. My brother saw this, and, in an attempt to 'fix it' said, "...and then we eat it...that's the meat that Nanny put in the stew" My poor baby started gagging, and, between gags, he said, "mommy, may I be excused?" Golly, that was awful.:hectic1: My brother told his (then) girlfriend (now wife) about it later, and she promptly called and apologized. I could hear my brother yelling out it the background "what? he asked! Dang! What'd I do? He asked:shrug7:!"
....Yeah, I don't DS will be heading out to the hunting grounds anytime too soon, either. |
