| Re: cvs-Tell us about your CVS Atlanta, GA - I'm fortunate to have numerous CVS's within a reasonable distance. I've only been CVSing for a few weeks now, so haven't gotten to know the staff at most stores and haven't picked up on all the trends of when trucks come in, when stock sells out, etc.
#4661 Bolton Rd. - This store is the closest and I pass it usually once or twice a day so I consider it my "home" store. It's fairly new (moved from a strip center next door to a nice, new freestanding store) and well-stocked. The cashiers are friendly and don't mind my couponing. The downside to it being new is that there's not really much in the way of clearance items, and being in the city, I think the prices are a little higher than some of the suburban stores.
#2082 Peachtree Rd near Piedmont Hospital - An older, busy store, but pretty well-stocked.
#2943 Peachtree St in Midtown - Underground parking - great for rainy days! Good stock, friendly employees. |

I have only recently started shopping at CVS. I used to work for Walgreen's so I was a bit loyal to them. Also, with my employee discount on top of the sales and coupons, I paid just pennies for deodorant, razors, shampoo, body wash etc. Now I go where the best deals are.
Everyone at my local CVS is really friendly , and patient with me while I do my coupons (they take them and scan them in the order that I want them done) and they don"t mind my multiple transactions (I let others go ahead of me when need be).
Even the manager is great; and the high school age girls that work there don't mind the multiple transactions and coupons.
When the Manager checks me out and I do one transaction and an ECB prints with my receipt, he will ask me if I want to use it for my next transaction, and even tear it from the receipt for me and take the coupons in the order that I would like to use them in. |

| Re: cvs-Tell us about your CVS I didn't see any Oklahoma stores...
Oklahoma City
23rd and Classen..one of the managers there is really nice. I have yet to have a problem there with ecbs or coupons. He even told me thank you for shopping with us AND being a smart shopper when I paid like 3? for tax.
50th and May..no problems here nice cashiers friendly manager use ecbs and q..
23 rd and McArthur...manager got in a huffy becasue she was going to have to adjust my ecb down... cashiers friendly well at least the ones I use.
Oklahoma must have alot of coupon users because they are always out of stock. I have went to 4 different CVS looking for last weeks razor deal and they are all out. Come back tues they say, I went back >>still out. But I was able to get a raincheck at 2 diff stores Also I usually shop in the daytime..so nightime cashiers...idk about.

Fantastic manager and employees (with the exception of one). They are very friendly and helpful, they go out of their way to make customers happy, and bend over backwards to make right anything that goes wrong with a transaction. They are coupon friendly and know what they're doing, and they get a kick out of me having a low OOP.
Now about that one exception, I cringe when I see him behind the cash register, because he scrutinizes every coupon, and will even reject coupons that are legit, even after I try to explain to him why he should take the coupon (he just doesn't understand coupons and how they work). I can't help but wonder if he used to work at Walmart.
The store is small but clean. My biggest gripe is they don't seem to stock the shelves enough for the sales so they run out too quick and I end up having to get rainchecks, which I HATE doing. But they don't mind at all writing me out the rc's and I have no problem using the rc's there later. Actually, rc's are useful for getting your total up for a $/$$, but I just hate trying to keep up with them. |

| Re: cvs-Tell us about your CVS We're lucky. There are lots of CVSs in So. Cal.
I went to one the other day, got all excited because they actually had the 3-day-sale back-to-school items that I' had been to several stores trying to find in stock.)
After I checked out, I noticed I had not gotten any of the ECBs for the rainchecks.
The shift manager would not accept the rainchecks from other stores. Was not at all helpful and not even trying to be nice about it. They don't give raincheck on 3-day sales. I told her I'd been to several store on all 3 days trying to get those items. She said, "Some customers call in advance to see if their stores have the items."
No logic worked with her. I am going to call. Not to see if they have "advertized" sale items in stock, but to talk to her store manager about that situation. That's a good way to lose me and others as a customer. It was frustrating as I had just wasted a lot of time shopping and then having to wait to get my money back for those raincheck items.
Luckily, I have a great store close to where I work, with a couple of really great cashiers and a wonderful pharmacy clerk. Only problem there is that they do get sold out quickly.
Thanks for listening to me while I grumbled.
Anyway, a word of caution.... figure out how many ECBs you should be getting and take the time to check to make sure you got them. I find that I often don't get them on the rainchecks. They have to force them through. |
