To get this deal with $2.80 back---how many q's would I need and how many items would I buy? Sorry if it is a dumb question I am still trying to learn the ropes...

Ok I did the math and you don't make money on this I don't think.

If you buy 20 candy bars at 2/$1 it would come to $10, then use 5 coupons taking off $2.50 meaning you would pay $7.50 and get back $5 ECB. I don't see how you make money???? Someone correct me if I am wrong

Beware! Nice cashier today warned me that the Fusion manual razor will not give ECBs. She made me buy the power one! How nice of her!
I was not prepared for my trip so just bought a razor and one Emery boards from Revlon to use a 2/1 Revlon CRT that was expiring today.
Steal of the day was 5 of the 90% off EOB beauty robes!! The nice cashier was amazed at the price and more happy when I told her I left two on the shelves!
I was kicking myself later for forgetting to use a 2/10 CVS brand ECB by buying a CVS brand filler and going over 10 bucks. oh well!

She was wrong. I got the manual one and I got the ECB back.

I think you might have something here. Only thing I see is the March monthly says 4 oz Total Advanced and weekly ad says 4.2 oz. I don't think there is a 4 oz, so I think they are one in the same. I wonder how this one will work out? Cause it looks like it overlaps.

I surveyed several CVS, and finally found the Colgate Total Advanced with Whitening 4 oz. There are two kinds of Colgate Total Advanced with Whitening toothpastes (different packages, UPCs, but the exact same name -- either gel or paste). One is 4oz, and the other is 4.2oz!!! I guess we will have to be very careful to get the correct size to get ECBs.

Am I seeing another example of "ever-shrinking" packages? Maybe they are phasing out 4.2oz toothpastes in favor of 4oz ones?

Someone bought the Venus and it said "Gillette Fusion offer limit reached" at the bottom of the receipt too. You could try it though, or wait until next week when the offer is running again.
