It wouldn't hurt to take your tide receipt to the manager and ask them if they can give you the deal. Especially if the ad doesn't say buy all at once. Some managers are real nice and will work with you.

Of course, you can use ECB with $/$$. I believe that 1 $/$$ is allowed per transaction. Most $/$$ have a note at the bottom that they cannot be used with other $/$$.

Hopefully you guys can help me.

Yesterday I bought 4 of the Sally Hansen nail polish (BOGO). It came to around $12 something and I used my ECBs to pay for all but .98 cents. My daughter didn't like the colors so I went to return them today and the clerk told me that I could only get .98 cents back and that once you used the ECBs, you lose them. I asked if I could get their value on a store credit and she said no. Is this true?

Did they refuse an exchange for different colors? I know that's not really what you're asking.

I can't answer about getting your ECBs back, but I'm sure someone here can. :xfingers:

I didn't ask for different colors. I don't know if my daughter wants them, and I certainly won't wear neon blue & pink. I just told the clerk that I'd keep them because I wasn't going to lose $12.00. That just doesn't seem right.

no, it's not. the money is returned to you in the same manner in which you paid, so you will get 98 cents in cash, and the rest on a money card. tell her it is the red card that is only used for returns, not a gift card. then say- if you don't know how to do the return, please call someone who does. and if no one in the store knows how, call 1 800 shop cvs and they will talk them through it.

it may need to be rung up as a "return, no receipt". that is how page 10 of the employee handout tells them to do it.
