The balance only shows how much you have spent so far OOP. You will get 2% of your spending balance starting July 1. Example. Let's say you spent $100 during the spring 2009, you will get 2 ECBs on your receipt starting July 1. HTH

Question about rainchecks. I had a raincheck with no ECB's involved. Strictly a sale item that was oos. The quantity was 8. I wanted to use it but the store only had 4 of the items in stock. I asked the store to let me buy the four items with the raincheck and reduce the quantity on the raincheck so I could get the other 4 later. They refused. I could either buy the 4 items and surrender the raincheck or go to another store to use the raincheck.

I showed them a raincheck I had for another item where the quantity had been reduced at a different store (same thing, didn't have all in stock) and I was getting the remaining quantity at that store, demonstating that some CVS stores will reduce the quantity on a raincheck and let you get the remaining quantity later.

Didn't matter.

What is usual and ordinary? What is the policy? Is this a YMMV? Thanks.

ow do they handle that when I get a raincheck?

<<<Since the advent of the instantly printing ECBs, the stores should write the raincheck for the price of the item AFTER ECBs would have been earned.

EX: If an item was on sale for $6.99 with a $4 ECB, the raincheck should be written for $2.99. If the item was on sale for $3.99 with a $3.99 ECB, the raincheck should be written as FREE AFTER ECBs.>>>

This section needs to be reworked. With the new rainchecks, you have to pay for the item, then get the ECB printed. Company policy. If not the company does not get reimbursed by the vendor for the ECB since none was printed and redeemed.

why would you need the email? if there is money on it, just buy something, and the bucks will print on the bottom.

Wrong... You can use your $5/$30 as long as your total BEFORE every mq and CVS CRT is $30 or more. If a store manager told you that, call CS and get a phone number for their district manager to let him/her know that a store in their area is not straight on their coupon policy.

Also, ECB's don't really count as MQ, do they? Meaning can I use 4 ECB's, my $4/$20, and 3 MQ and buy 3 things? Or how many items so I need?

Thanks!
1. $/$$, ECB, CVS CRTs, mq
2. ECB does not count as mq.
3. You can use 4 ECBs, $4/$20, and 3 mq in the same transacton as long as you have $20 or more in purchases and you are buying 3 or more items (as you use 3 mq, you need to have 3 or more items)

take the amount it says, drop it down to the nearest 25 dollars, and cvs will pay you 50 cents for each 25 dollar unit. so, if it says 48.89, drop it to 25, and you get 50 cents. if it says 103.98, drop it to 100, and you will get 2 dollars. the ecb will print the first time on or after july 1 when you scan your card.

12AM or....
so far as we can determine, usually the manager flips the switch sometime between 8 pm friday might, and midnight saturday night.

some reports have come in of a few stores that start as early as wed. noon, but that would be really rare.

the easiest way to find out is to ask at the store. the employees will know.

Default Re: CVS Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)-- Updated and Improved!

here's something i learned the hard way. i'm new to cvs due to longs-->cvs.
i had a 12ecb and 8ecb. total taxable goods were 19.57
i tried using both ecb, thinking i'd still have to pay oop. the register beeped on the second ecb that i tried to redeem and cashier had to ask for mgr assistance. mgr told cashier to adj my ecb to overall remaining balance. i ended up losing 0.43 of taxable $$.
i was under the impression that my total would be 19.57X 1.0925 (tax rate) - 20 or 1.38 due from me. I did not know that the ecb are in reality worth $x ECB X local tax rate
oh well lost about 47 cents. i will make sure to game it in the future
